Mid year formal

"Mei why are you back so late! YOU SHOULD OF BEEN HERE AN HOUR AGO SO YOU CAN LOOK GOOD FOR THE FORMAL!?" Yelled Yuuki at Mei who just walked through the door "hurry up and get the dress on!" said Yuuki walking over to the cupboard and getting out the navy blue dress "you look really cute in that dress" smiled Mei as she started getting undressed.

"Done!" Said Mei with it finally on "I've just destroyed my hair making it really knotty putting that on.." Said Mei trying to brush out her hair "here! Sit down and I'll do it" smiled Yuuki getting bobby pins, hairspray and a curler. "uh.. What's all that for?" Said Mei worried "you'll see" smiled Yuuki starting to do Mei's hair

"Stand up!" Smiled Yuuki waiting to see her "master piece" "you look so pretty" said Yuuki giving Mei a mirror. Mei's hair was tied into a low platted bun hair sprayed down giving it a sparkly look, with a small amount of hair on each side near her ears curled. "Put on those high heels and let's go" smiled Yuuki waiting as Mei did as she was told. "LETS GO!" Exclaimed Mei as Yuuki grabbed her hand and they power walked to the school hall.

"Wow...!" Said Yuuki and Mei as they walk in as they did everyone turned to look at them, they heard little whispers like "wow they are so pretty, look at Mei-san's dress etc." "u-uhhh" stuttered Mei getting embarrassed and turned pink. "I'm going to go find Kaname, okay Mei?" Smiled Yuuki running into the crowd and disappeared. Mei could feel her legs shaking "Mei.." Said a voice behind her "huh..?" Said Mei turning around to find Zero in his Night class uniform looking back at her.

"You look very uh.. Pretty" mumbled Zero blushing a little. "So do you.." Said Mei staring at him. "Uhh I mean handsome- wait I meant nice.. Yeah nice." Said Mei as she turned and look at the ground. Mei and Zero both stared at each other awkwardly "so uh.. Apparently everyone has to do this voting thingy on who they want to be the king and queen of the formal." Mumbled Mei "who are you going to put down?" Said Zero looking at Mei "I will be putting down Yuuki defiantly" smiled Mei as she walked over to a a table with cards on it and pens.

"Here you go" said Mei handing zero a slip and a pen. "Hmm I guess I'll just put down Yuuki and Zero" thought Mei as she wrote their names on the slip. Two girls were walking around holding a box that everyone had to out their slips in "well let's go.." Mumbled Mei as they handed the slips to the girls as they put it in the box. "The winners will be announced at 7:30" said one girl as they smiled and walked off.

"That's half an hour away.." Said zero as he took Mei by the hand and sat down together. "so who did you choose?" Asked Mei looking at him curiously "that's a secret." He replied "apparently the 'king & queen' have to dance together.." Said Mei smirking "if Yuuki wins it'll be hilarious" thought Mei giving zero a creepy look. "What are you thinking about, it better not be weird or anything." Said Zero looking back at her.

"Hey guys~" said Yuuki walking over with Kaname tagging along. "Hi Yuuki, hi Kaname" replied Mei "you look beautiful tonight Ms Trueblood, but we will have to talk about you returning to back to this school at a later date" smiled Kaname with that sparkly look in his eyes. "Ah! It's almost time for them to announce the winners" said Yuuki getting excited.

"Cross Academy senior Day class students and Night class students it is time for the announcement of the night~" said the headmaster wearing some weird black tuxedo. "Oh my god." Said Yuuki staring at him awkwardly. "In his envelope is the king & queen of this years mid year formal" said headmaster trying to act all high and mighty "the two will do one dance for the seniors and then after the dance they can proceed to do as they wish" smiled headmaster started to open the envelope.

"The king of the mid year formal is... Kaname Kuran" said headmaster everyone in the room except two people were clapping and that was Zero and Mei "well obviously it was going to be Kaname how could I be so stupid." Thought Mei. "oh me? Very well then" said Kaname walking towards the headmaster. "and the queen of the mid year formal is... Mei Takane" everyone started clapping for Mei "wait...what" said Mei devastated "why me?" "BWAHAHAHAHAH" Laughed Zero looking at Mei utterly confused "that's the first time I've hear Zero laugh.." Thought Mei "Wow Mei good job!" Said Yuuki giving her a thumbs up "go to headmaster now".

"U-u..uh.." Said Mei having to stand next to Kaname. "Make your way to the centre of the room. "I'm not sure I..-" said Mei who got cut off by the headmaster "sure you can.." He says patting her on the back hard. Suddenly some waltzing music came on and Kaname held out his hand. Mei turned bright pink because of embarrassment as stood there with her legs shaking even though her legs were covered by her dress.

Mei took Kaname's hand and got into the proper position on the waltz. "What's the matter?" Whispered Kaname really close to Mei staring at her with those brown eyes. "I uh.. Don't know how to dance.." Whispered Mei still pink. "Just follow me.." He says and starts moving his feet slowly.

10 minutes later - The dance just finished and Mei and zero are heading back to the night class dorms

"Uuugh I thought that would never end! He's so creepy and he didn't do anything when I stepped on his feet like a zillion times!?" Said Mei angrily "hahaha I thought it was funny" smiled Zero looking at Mei "do you wanna hang out a bit before you we go to sleep?" mumbled Mei blushing a little "yeah we can just sit around in my room.." Mumbled zero surprised she asked that.

Zeros room

"Would it be okay if I get out of this thing I'm wearingand wash my hair" questioned Mei standing at his door. "yeah go ahead" replied Zero.

After Mei's shower

"Dammit I grabbed that huge grey baggy shirt" cursed Mei as she threw it on and put her hair in two low ponytails. "Well.. I guess I'll head back to zeros room.. But what happens if he's asleep already!" Thought Mei as she walked towards his room and slowly opened the door without knocking finding him laying in his stomach waiting.

"Your back." He said jolting up "yeah.." Said Mei walking over to him and sitting on the edge of his bed. "Here.." He said while blushing moving over so Mei could sit next to him. "A-are you sure?" Stuttered Mei as she crawled her way over there. "oh here's some blanket." He said sounding like a child holding up the blanket so she could hope inside "u-u-uh.." Said Mei turning pink as was Zero "thank you?" Replied Mei as she laid down on her back next to Zero. mei moved her hand across the bed to find she accidentally touched Zeros hand.

Mei jolted and looked over at Zero to find he was asleep. "Hmm.." Sighed Mei laying next to him as she slowly held on to his hand and fell asleep.
