I was getting ready for my next gig, dressed in some tight black jeans, a grey sweater and some Air Forces. I walked out into the living room where Tommy was whispering to someone on the phone.
"Are you coming?" I asked and he looked up at me.
"Uh, maybe, I might come down later. If not I'll see you when you get home." He smiled and I nodded, maybe it's better if he doesn't come. I headed down the elevator, before walking around the corner to the bar. When I arrived inside, I saw Nick standing at the bar, so I decided to walk over.
"White claw?" I asked and he looked up at me, smiling when he saw me.
"Hey, you ready to go on?" He asked and I smiled slightly.
"Yeah, I think so. I have a new song tonight. It's called 90 days, you should listen out for it." I smiled, "And, I don't know if Tommy's coming, but if he does..."
"I'll save him a seat. Now you get going." He smirked and I nodded.
"Okay." I smiled, walking up to the platform and sitting on my stool.

"Hi everyone, my name is Veronica Richards and I'm going to sing some songs." I smiled into the mic, hearing the others cheer at me. I played a couple of happier songs before I started playing 90 days. "Here's an original song that I wrote recently, I hope you like it... We're driving in a black car, and it's blacked out and we're spinnin', we're listening to "Fast Car", and you're driving fast and you're singin'. Don't wanna tell you what I'm feelin', don't want this night to hit a ceiling. I'm wearing dirty white shoes, a white t-shirt and your jacket, I'm laughing, but I'm lying, when you're smiling, I'm the saddest. I hide my face so you don't see it, I think out loud, hope you don't hear it. It's going on 18 months now, and it's fucked up, but I'm falling. I feel it every day now, but I'm stallin', but I'm stallin'. I'm here, but I'm in pieces, and I don't know how to fix this, and I don't know how to fix this, no. If I'm just somebody that you're gonna leave, and you don't feel something when you look at me, you're holdin' my heart, mmm, whatcha say? Just let me down slowly, I'll be okay..."

I finished my set, climbing off the stage and walking over to the others. There was a spare seat next to Nick with a vodka martini in front of it.
"Is this mine?" I asked and the other's smiled, as Nick nodded.
"Of course, VIP seat for our little singer." He laughed as I sat down, I noticed he had his arm around a girl that I didn't recognise, next to her was Avani, Anthony, Quinton, Cynthia and Bryce.
"Hi, sorry I'm Ronnie." I smiled at her and she nodded.
"I know, I'm Amelie." She smiled.
"Where's..." I started but Bryce shook his head.
"He didn't come." He replied and I nodded slightly.
"Oh, he was probably busy or something." I forced a smile and Nick nodded.
"Yeah, something like that." Nick replied, clenching his jaw. I took a sip of my drink as the other's continued their conversation from before I had arrived. "By the way, 90 days was really good. You need to tell me the story behind it."
"Not here, not now." I replied, forcing another soft smile. He nodded slightly, turning back to Amelie as I turned to Bryce.

"Hey cutie." He smirked, making a real smile appear on my face.
"Hey. So, whose this Addison girl that I've been hearing about?" I asked and he smiled to himself as he pulled out his phone, showing me the background of his phone.
"She's a girl that everyone thinks I'm dating." He replied and I nodded slightly.
"And are you?" I asked again.
"Honestly? I don't know. She's so on and off about it. But I like her a lot and if I was going to date a girl it would be her for sure." He replied, the smile on my face growing slightly.
"Aww, sweet." I replied, examining the smile on his face. "You look happy."
"I am." he smiled, glancing down at his phone.

"And you should be two." Nick whispered in my ear, me shooting him a look.
"Shut up Nick." I groaned in a whisper and he shrugged.
"I'm just saying, you can't tell me that you're actually happy with him. I don't know you very well but I do know that much." He whispered again, before Amelie started tugging at his shirt.
"Nick, what are you guys talking about?" She asked, making him turn his attention back to her.
"Nothing, just joking around." He smiled over at her. So I guess he smiles at every girl like that.

After a couple more drinks, I decided it was time to go.
"I should probably go back... uh, home." I whispered, as I stood up.
"Do you need walking?" Nick asked and I shook my head.
"No, I'm fine." I replied as I went to walk out of the bar, stumbling slightly. I left, suddenly forgetting which way I lived, deciding to turn right.

Nick's Point Of View
I watched Ronnie leave the bar, turning the wrong way back to her place.
"Fuck, I'm going to go help her. Are you okay to get home?" I asked Amelie.
"Yeah, totally. I'll see you later." She nodded and I stood up to go get Ronnie.

Ronnie's Point Of View
I started walking down the footpath towards where I thought was home. When a group of guys up the way started calling out to me.
"Yo singer girl! Come over here." One of them called out and I stopped walking for a second, "Come on, we won't bite." I walked over to them, there was three.
"Hey cutie, what's your name?" One of them asked.
"Ronnie," I smiled back before one of them grabbed my arm, pushing me against the wall, while one of the others tried to grab at my clothes. I tried to fight them off but once that failed, my body went limp, I couldn't hear anything, I couldn't feel anything. I didn't notice when they were pulled off of me, I just fell to the ground allowing myself to start crying. I felt myself get picked up and heard voices talking, opening my eyes to see I was in Nick's arms with Bryce walking beside him.

"Ronnie, it's okay. I've got you." Nick whispered and I nodded slightly.
"Are you okay to take her home?" Bryce asked.
"Yeah, you head back to Sway, I'll see you later." Nick replied as Bryce peeled off. "I'm sorry, I knew you were too drunk to walk alone. I should've walked out with you." He said to me and I shook my head.
"Shouldn't you be walking your girlfriend home?" I asked, his brow furrowing before he realised.
"Who? Amelie? No we're not together, she's with Blake, we've just been friends for a long time." He explained and I nodded slightly, I rested my head into his chest as he carried me. "You deserve happiness." He whispered and I looked up at him.
"What do you mean? What makes you think I'm not?" I whispered back.
"I know how to tell when someone isn't happy, my best friend battled with depression for a long time. I don't know what he's doing to you, or what he's done. But I know that he's not making you happy." Nick explained and I shrugged.
"I'm too drunk to talk about this." I whispered as my head dug back into his chest, snuggling into him.
"Okay, we'll talk about it later." He agreed as he stopped at my apartment building. "I, uh, probably shouldn't come up." He whispered as he put me down, my hands staying against his chest.
"Are you sure, I'd be fine if you did." I whispered back.
"It's not you I'm worried about." He replied.
"Well at least walk me to my door, so I don't pass out in the elevator or something." I pleaded and he nodded slightly.
"Fine, fine. I'll walk you to your door." He smiled down at me.
"I never noticed how tall you were before this." I replied as I noticed my head tilted so far back to look up at him.
"Yeah, well you've never stood this close to me before either." He smirked back as we walked into the building, getting in the elevator together. He rested his hand on my hip as we stood there. My body pressing against his side as he did so.
"I don't want to go back." I whispered and he nodded.
"I know. You're always welcome at Hype. Always."
