I woke up the next morning, glancing over to see that Nick was still asleep. I have to go back today, I thought as I pulled out my phone to see that I had 125 missed calls from Tommy. I opened tiktokroom to see that they had pictures of us dancing on the beach. I rolled my eyes and decided to tweet out 'What even is privacy anymore?'  before climbing out of my bed and wandering into my bathroom to take a shower. I changed into some baggy jeans and a button up, cropped top and some sneakers before walking back into my bedroom to see that Nick was no longer there. I packed my clothes back into their bags and did my hair and makeup before sitting on my bed and watching tv for a while.

There was a knock at my door, and I glanced up at it as it opened, revealing Nick.
"We're heading downstairs." He informed and I nodded, climbing back off of my bed, grabbing my bags and following them down to the foyer where the others were waiting. The cars were parked out the front so we walked out to them, climbing into the ones that we had drove down in. I sat next in between Ryland and Nick, my arm rubbing against Nick's.
"When do you sing next?" He asked, looking down at me.
"Uh, tomorrow." I informed and he nodded back.
"I'll be there." He smirked and I smiled softly.
"Cool." I whispered back, I rested my head on his shoulder as his hand slid down to mine, his fingers lacing with mine as his thumb rubbed my skin slowly. I felt my eyes slowly start to close as I drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up, my head was resting on Nick's lap with my legs lifted up on Ryland. Nick's fingers were running through my hair and his other hand was resting on my waist. I moved my head around slowly as I woke up, feeling Nick's fingers continue to run through my hair. I turned my head to look up at the boy, who was smiling back down at me.
"We're coming into LA." He whispered and I rolled my eyes.
"Great." I replied as I turned my head back around, resting my hand upon his thigh next to my face. After a couple more minutes I felt the car stop and I groaned.
"Um, he's waiting outside." Nick murmured, my head shooting up and looking out the window.
"Oh, uh, I should go. Thanks for a great trip guys. I'll see you guys later." I whispered as I grabbed my bags.
"See you Ronnie. Call me and we'll go for dinner or something." Cynthia smiled and I nodded.
"Yeah sounds good. Bye guys." I smiled as I climbed out, walking over to Tom.

"Okay you need to..." He started but I shook my head.
"Inside, let's go inside." I whispered as I noticed a man with a camera watching us. He followed me into the room and over to the elevator.
"Did I not ask you to stay away from him?" He asked and I kept my vision away from him.
"No you did not ask, you told me to." I replied and he chuckled.
"And was your wrist not enough of a warning?" He replied, suddenly turning serious.
"a warning? What else are you going to do to me?" I asked, rolling my eyes.
"I wouldn't want to find out." He replied as the doors opened and we walked to our apartment, him locking the door behind us. "You're not seeing Nick anymore." He informed as he turned back to me.
"I'm not? And what are you going to do if I do? Actually forget that, how are you going to stop me from seeing him?" I asked as he walked over to me.
"You're not going to see him." He groaned, hitting me in the face which made my nose start to bleed.
"What the fuck?" I whined as I stepped away from him, only for him to hit me again, this time closer to my eye. I dropped to the ground, holding my hands in front of my face.
"Stay in the second room tonight." He ordered and I nodded, as he walked away from me. I waited for him to disappear into the main bedroom before I climbed to my feet, walking into the spare bedroom and locking the door behind me. I felt my phone buzz in my back pocket, so I pulled it out to see 'Bear boy :)' written on the screen.

"Hey Nicky." I smiled as I answered the phone.
"Hey, how was he?" He asked and I paused for a moment. Just tell him, he'll understand and have good advise.
"Uh, he was fine. It was kinda weird how chill he was about the whole thing." I lied and there was silence for a moment.
"Is he there?" Nick asked, catching me off guard.
"What? No, but he's really, uh, fine." I lied again.
"Do you need me to come over?" He asked, my hands started shaking.
"WHat? No, please don't. Honestly. Don't." I pleaded, there was silence for a moment.
"Ronnie." He whispered and I shook my head.
"I have to go. Bye Nick." I whispered.
"Okay, please call me if something's wrong." He whispered back.
"I will." I replied, hanging up the phone and sitting on the bed.

I stayed in that room until the next night, when I had to go to work. I was dressed in a tight black dress with a blue denim jacket and some white shoes. I brushed out my hair and applied my makeup, covering my new black eye, before walking back out into the living room.
"I'm going to work." I growled as I walked past him.
"Is Nick going?" He asked and I shrugged.
"I don't know, it's a public place." I snapped before walking out of the apartment. I walked down to the bar, making my way up to the platform. I sat at my chair and looked out into the audience, instantly making eye contact with Nick. He's here, I thought, I hope to God that Tommy doesn't come down.
"H... Hey guys, my name is Ronnie Richards and I'm going to sing some songs." I said into the microphone. "This first song is about having feelings for someone when you really shouldn't... It's the strangest feeling, feeling this way for you, there's something in the way you move. Something in the way you move. With you I'm never healing, it's heartache through and through. There's something in the way you move, I don't know what it is you do. Not one bone in your body good enough for me, but this heart is open, bloodstain on my sleeve. When our eyes meet, I can only see the end. But tonight I'm here, yours again. But tonight I'm gonna lose it all. Playing with fire, I was the first to fall. Heart is sinking like a cannonball..."

I finished my set before making my way down to the table to see Cynthia, Nick, Quinton, Bryce and a girl that I hadn't met, but I recognised her from Bryce's phone screen.
"Hey guys, Addison right? I'm Ronnie." I smiled and she waved back at me.
"Hi, it's great to meet you. You're so talented." She smiled back at me.
"Thank you." I replied as Nick pushed a martini glass towards me. "And thank you."
"You're welcome." Nick smiled back down at me as I took a drink of the martini.
"So most of those were originals right?" Cynthia asked and I nodded.
"Yeah, I wrote a lot of them." I agreed and I noticed Quinton's jaw drop.
"Woah, you really are talented." He agreed and I nodded.
"Thanks Q." I whispered, smiling down at my drink. I glanced to my side and noticed that Nick was giving me sort of a weird look. I decided to ignore it by continuing to drink, before Nick touched my arm softly.
"Want to go for a smoke?" He asked and I nodded slightly.
"Yeah, why not." I agreed, following him into the smokers lounge. He closed the door behind us and I walked over to one of the couches as he pulled out two cigarettes, lighting one and handing it to me before lighting himself one.

"He hit you, didn't he?" He asked and I froze.
"What... Why would you..." I started but he cut me off.
"The weird phone call, the excessive makeup over this eye, and the pleading me not to come over last night, ticked me off." He explained and I nodded slightly, "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I, uh, didn't want you to worry." I whispered as I took a drag from the cig.
"Why are you still with him?" He asked and I shrugged.
"I love him. I've been with him for four years, I can't just leave when he gets a bit weird. You know? He's probably under a lot of stress, he doesn't normally act like this." I explained, his hand holding onto mine.
"A guy shouldn't treat you like shit, even if he is under stress." He whispered, I looked from his hands up to his eyes, they pierced back down into my eyes.
"Yeah, okay Nick." I nodded, pulling my hand away from his as I leaned back with my cigarette sitting in my mouth.
"You're not going to dump him. Are you?" He asked and I shook my head.
"No, I can't." I whispered.
