The next weekend rolled around too quickly, before I knew it, it was Friday and Ryland, Avani and Dixie were leaving to go pick him up from the airport.
"So we'll see you on Monday?" Ryland asked, giving me a sad look.
"Yeah, have fun at the party tonight guys." I replied, giving them each a hug.
"We'll tell him you said hi." Avani informed as we hugged.
"Okay, if you want to." I replied, "See you later." I watched them leave the house, before going back into the living room where Josh was watching 'She's The Man'.
"Hey, you don't mind if I go to the party tonight, do you?" He asked as I sat on the couch across from him.
"Huh? No of course not." I replied, furrowing my brow as if to say 'why the fuck would you ask that', "I mean you've been friends with him for a lot longer than me."
"Thanks sis, I didn't want to go if you were going to be uncomfortable about it." He smiled back.
"No problem, big brother." I smirked, leaning my head back and closed my eyes as I slowly drifted off to sleep.

--
"Ronnie, Ronnie, wake up." I heard as I opened my eyes, seeing Josh smiling back down at me.
"What's up?" I groaned as I lifted my head.
"We're going to the party now. So we'll see you later on tonight." He informed and I nodded slightly as I put my head back down.
"Okay, have fun." I responded, hearing them all leave before I drifted off to sleep again. When I woke up, it was around 10:30 and I was extremely hungry. I decided to order some pizza but didn't want to be alone so I decided to call Trent.

"Hello?" He answered.
"Hey, it's Ronnie. Do you want to come over for like an hour or so? I'm ordering pizza." I offered and there was silence for a moment.
"Okay, but I'm bringing some drinks." He replied, making me smile into the phone.
"Sounds perfect, thanks. Is meatlovers okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, great. See you soon." He hung up the phone before I ordered two meatlovers pizza for delivery. After about 15 minutes, there was a knock at the front door. I made my way to my feet and wander over, opening the door to see Trent smiling back at me, holding two pizzas and a cooler.
"The pizza guy was there when I got here, so I picked up the pizza." He explained, as I let him in.
"Aw, thank you. Come into the living room, I'll put on a movie or something." I smiled back, allowing him to follow me over. He handed me one of the pizza boxes and sat the cooler at our feet, opening it to show at least three six packs of beer inside. I grabbed one of them out as we decided on a movie.
"So why'd you invite me over?" He asked as I threw a blanket over the two of us.
"Um, you remember my ex boyfriend? The one who was jealous of you and then moved away?" I asked and he nodded, "Well he came back into town for the weekend and all of my roommates went to the party he's holding tonight. I just felt a little lonely and you're the only person I know who's not at the party."
"Oh, well I'm glad to be a distraction." He smiled back down at me, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
"Thanks Trent." I smiled back resting my head on his shoulder. It felt weird, cuddling on the couch with him, almost like I was betraying Nick. Like I was cheating on him. We started watching 'Just Go With It', eating our pizza and drinking our beers as we did so.

When that movie ended, we decided to watch 'Talladega Nights'. About 30 minutes into that movie there was a knock at the door, followed by Josh's voice calling out 'VERRROONNNIICCCCAAAA'. I laughed slightly as I moved to my feet, walking up to the door as best as I could with all of the drinks in my system. I opened the door to see Josh, being held up by Nick.
"Oh, hey." I croaked out as I saw him, his cheeks were red from alcohol.
"Hey, Josh started fighting someone at the party so I decided to bring him home." Nick informed as Josh stumbled in past me, climbing onto the kitchen bench and curling up into a ball.
"Well thanks. You look good." I forced a smile as he looked me up and down.
"Yeah you two..." He started as Trent walked up to me.
"Hey, I'm Trent." He smiled, holding out his hand for Nick to shake, which he did.
"Wow, Trent. You're not how I pictured you at all." Nick replied, glancing between me and Trent. "Sorry, I'm Nick." He answered, shaking his hand.
"Nick's my ex boyfriend." I answered, Trent giving an 'OH' look.
"Yeah, but I should probably get back. It was good to see you." Nick smiled and I nodded back.
"Yeah, you two." I replied, closing the door behind him, turning back to Josh.

"Joshy, how you doing buddy?" I asked, walking over to him.
"Mmm." He groaned in response.
"Can you help me get him to his room, please?" I asked Trent and he nodded, walking over to us as I grabbed his arm to pull him off of the counter. As he came off, I wrapped his arm around my shoulder, and my own around his waist, waiting for Trent to do the same on the other side.
"You know, I could have taken that guy at the party." Josh slurred his head hung down with his eyes closed.
"I'm sure you could have, Sweetie." I smirked, resting my head on his shoulder. We carried him into his bedroom. I laid him down on the bed, covering him with the duvet.
"Thanks sis." He slurred, eyes still closed.
"No problem Joshy, sweet dreams." I replied before grabbing Trent's hand and leading him out of the room.

"You okay? It can't be easy to run into an ex like that." He asked as we got to the living room.
"It's not, but I'll be fine. I mean we have the same friends so I would have run into him eventually." I replied, as his other hand moved to my hip.
"Well I'm here, if you need." He offered, his face inches from mine. I swallowed, hard, as I looked but up at him, my eyes flicking from his eyes down to his lips.
"Mmhmm, thanks." I replied, as he started leaning down to me, my eyes closing as his lips connected to mine. My hands slid up his chest to wrap around his neck as we kissed, his hands holding onto my hips pressing our bodies against each other. His hand slowly moving underneath my shirt. That's when I started to think of Nick, how we used to be. How we're not like that anymore. I pulled my lips away from his, unable to get the image of Nick out of my head.
"Is everything okay?" He asked, brow furrowing as I pulled my hands away from him.
"Sorry, no. I think it's just too soon for me to be doing this." I whispered and he nodded.
"Okay, sorry I just thought..." He started but I shook my head.
"No, don't apologise. This is a me issue, I'm just... I think you should go." I whispered and he nodded.
"Okay, but you have my number if you change your mind." He smiled and I nodded.
"Yeah I do. Thanks Trent." I watched him walk out of the house before making my way back up to my room. I took my sleeping pill before collapsing on my bed, falling asleep.
