16. Nightmares

"RONNIE! YOU, ME, SPRING BREAKERS!" Avani's voice screamed through my phone, I lifted my head from my pillow slightly as I rubbed my eyes.
"Huh?" I groaned as I adjusted to being awake.
"Okay I'm going to give you three seconds to wake up. 1. 2. 3. Okay, tonight at the party we're going as spring breakers, you know that Vanessa Hudgens movie." She replied and I nodded slightly.
"Okay, how?" I asked back.
"Um, just wear a bikini with some sweats over the top and I'll handle the ski masks. And we'll go to the gas station for gram pics. Sounds good?" She explained.
"Yeah, sounds good."
"Cool, I'll see you at 8."
"Okay, thanks Vani."
"Byeee." She hung up the phone, as I laid back down.

"Hey are you okay?" Zach asked, I glanced over my shoulder with my brow furrowed.
"Yeah, why?" I asked in return.
"Well you woke up at one point last night, proper jumped up and you were breathing pretty heavily after it." He responded and I shook my head.
"Oh, I've been having some nightmares lately. Every night, actually. But it's okay. I'll be fine." I explained, and he nodded.

It was 7:00 when I started doing my makeup for the party, I decided to focus mainly on my eye area, because the face masks would cover pretty much everything else. I decided to wear my white bikini, and some sweatpants, leaving my hair out. There was a knock at the bathroom door and I called out that it was unlocked, the door opened slightly and Avani's head poked through.
"Ooh you hottiee!!" She yelled, walking in and handing my my mask.
"Thanks gorgeous." I answered as I finished the last part of my hair.
"You ready to go take photos?" She asked as her hand grabbed hold of mine, pulling me out of the room.
"So ready." I smiled, Zach and Anthony followed us out to Avani's car.
"Zach we have a spare room at ours if you want to stay the night. I mean, I'm assuming Ronnie will be." Avani smiled at Zach, who was sitting in the front seat as the two of us sat in the back, Anthony was driving.
"Uh, I don't know. I haven't talked to Nick since that sleepover." I answered, Zach glancing over his shoulder.
"Nick? Whose that?" He asked and I glanced at Avani, she knew about what Nick had said to me at the party, about wanting to wait until I was completely over Tom before we do anything. I assumed that Anthony knew as well, because Avani had asked if she could tell him, he's the one person that she can't keep secrets from. Which, I guess, is a good thing.
"Uh, Nick and I are sort of a thing. Or will be a thing. I don't know, it's kind of weird." I answered and he nodded slightly.
"Right." He nodded slightly, Avani shooting me a weird look. We took some photos for the gram, at 9:00, we decided that we had enough and drove to the party. There were already hundreds of people there, and you could hear the music from the end of the street. I would hate to be one of their neighbors, I thought as we drove closer to the house. 
"Um, there's drinks in the kitchen and heaps of people to meet. I'm going to find Nick and I'll catch up with you later." I told Zach and he nodded slightly.
"Okay, sounds good." He smiled back as I climbed out of the car, making my way into the hype. I pushed through the crowds of people. Trying to find a particular person in a house full of people in costumes is just about as hard as one might imagine. I was just about to give up and grab a drink when I saw him, talking to Ryland (who was dressed up as a zombie, classic), was a young Leonardo DiCaprio. I walked over to the pair, his brow furrowed when I walked over to the conversation, but relaxed when he looked into my eyes.

"Ronnie, I almost didn't recognise you." He smiled as he wrapped his arms around me in a hug.
"Woah, that's Ronnie? Dude, I completely didn't recognise you." Ryland laughed as he gave me a hug as well.
"That's the point of Halloween." I smirked, my eyes staying on Nick's face, "You look good, Jack from Titanic?"
"Yeah, and you're Spring Breakers. Avani made me watch it last night." He smirked and I nodded, "You look good two." He smiled softly.
"Thanks." I replied.
"Okay, you guys are only talking to each other and I feel like a third wheel so I'm going to find someone else." Ryland said, walking away as Nick and I laughed to each other. Once he had left I moved closer to Nick as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"You do look hot." He smirked down at me, a small smile growing on my face.
"Thanks, you do two." I smiled back as someone else joined the conversation, I glanced away from Nick to see Zach.
