Chapter 2

Yuxin's POV

"What?!" Daimeng reacted as I told them about the wedding and invitation.

"Yes, you heard me right. We are invited to perform on the wedding of Lingzi and Lin Fan." I told them as I took a bite on my pancake.

"It's more rational if we decline." Keran said. I agree with her. Lingzi is our friend as well, but things have changed. We should consider Jiaqi's feelings as well and well, she hasn't talked to us ever since their break up, not until now. We tried to reach out but the gap was so big. Our last encounter with her is when we fetched the drunken Jiaqi on her door, damped by the rain and bruises all over her face.

"The thing is, Jiaqi is required to come. She is the best man." I told them. They just stared at me like they can't believe what I just said.

"That's too much for her don't you think?"Keran asked.

"Yeah, but we talked last night when we came to Mom's house, and mom adviced her to come. She said it can be the closure that Jiaqi would need to move on from the past." I tell them. They still looked worried though.

"So, we need to come as well."Keran said more like a statement than a question.

"Yah" I nodded. We continued talking about things when Jiaqi arrived.

"Guys, I've got the file from the Director's office. Keran look at this" She said and gave the folder to Keran.

Jiaqi sitted on the table and now we are sitting in a circle table while waiting for Keran to finish looking at the papers.

"While waiting, I have to give you something." She said and fished something from her bag. She rest it on the table as we all look at it.

"It's the pictures that they will submit to UN. The leader and our side already talked about it, and we can't give them our real identity for the future missions of our group. They photoshoped our pictures and even registered the fake names" Jiaqi said. We inspected the pictures.

"Why would they do that. It's the UN, right." Daimeng asked.

"They are suspecting that there might be a spy inside our government. You are informed that every files are undergoing inspections from various officers, right. They think one of the officers is a spy." Jiaqi said. We looked at the picture, they didn't seem us, neither the names.

"Then, why send this to UN? This is just useless." I said.

"They say, to make the monkey loook stupid, make them believe they fooled you, eventhough they didn't." Keran suddenly butt in. We all looked to him.

"I'm done with the papers." Keran said.

"So, what do you think?" Jiaqi asked her.

"We should accept the mission." Keran said.

"Can you tell us what did you find?"Jiaqi asked.

"We all know that if we didn't accept this, then the Russians will take control of this right?" Keran said.

"Yes, because it's just the two of us in UN." Daimeng said.

"I have a suspicion that Russia's special group is connected to the gang." Keran said nonchalantly.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"First of all, I noticed the picture of Doyun Yang, he is wearing an ear piece, if you look at it, it's just a normal earpiece but there's a small mark there.Here take a look." Keran said and handed us the paper.

"Did you see that the complexion of the airpiece changed a little in the middle part, take at look at here." she said and handed us her own earpiece.

"Only 8 people has that kind of earpiece that can be directly connected to any radio station. Us, and Russia's special group." She said. We looked at the earpiece, and yes, they are similar ones. It's just a very subtle one but when you become aware of it, it'll be as clear as the sun.
