Jiaqi's POV

The dinner started and I still can't feel like eating. Xin and Xueer was almost hurt because of that Wrangler. But the thing that bothered me, is Keran approached me a while ago saying she'll investigate the vehicle.

She said she have a hunch that it is not an accident, it was intended. I was mad, mad at myself for not being there for Xueer. Mad at myself for not making sure she's okay.

I looked at the two sitting in front of me. I noticed how they became so comfortable with each other this past few days. I don't know why but I'm losing my logic in this situation.

I know Keran already told me to stay away from Xueer, but I just can't accept that I'm going to lose her without any fight. I'm not that kind of person.

"Kiki, stop stealing glances to Xin and Xueer." Zuo suddenly spoke. Well, she's my cousin/my childhood friend. I was never able to hide anything from her.

"As if you're not stealing glances on Daimeng and Yu Yan." I retorted.

"At least I'm her girlfriend, what 'bout you?" She said smirking.

"Correction, ex-girlfriend." I rebut.

"Technically, it's because I rejected her apology."She sassily remarked.

"Still an ex." I said that made her glare at me. My attention was caught when Keran entered the room.

"Sorry I was late." She apologized at she sat on the empty chair next to Zihan. I gave her a look trying to have a secret conversation with her. She looked back at me and nodded in a very serious way. Guess it's really intentional.

"So you four, what's with you and your dates?" asked Aunt Zhuo with a teasing smile.

The three of us exchanged glances aside from Keran of course.

"I'm courting Xueer."Xin said proudly. It made me divert my attention to them. Xueer is hiding her face while Xin is looking so innocent despite the attention they are getting.

"Xueer honey, does Xin have a chance?" Aunt Zhuo continued teasing. Xueer got even more shy that made some people in the table chuckle.

"I wouldn't have agreed on the courting if that was not the case, ma'am." Xueer shyly responded. It was Xin's time to blush and my time to be hurt. If I was the one who asked her, would she let me?

My attention was taken away from the two when the topic shifted to me.

"How about you Jiaqi? What's with you and Shaking?" asked Aunt. Shaking looked normal, eating, but why do Keran suddenly had an interest in this conversation?

"She's a really good friend of mine." I answered. I don't know but three in the table shifted aura, Xueer, Shaking, and Keran. What's with that?

"Oh, I thought there might be something more." The aunts fancied on the flow of the conversation.

"I won't ask Daimeng, I'm certain my honey, Zuo, still have her heart." Aunt Zuo said that made me look at Yu Yan and Daimeng. Is it true? Is it still Zuo.

I was relieved seeing that Daimeng looked comfortable and confident. Means it really is still Zuo, but Yu Yan's reaction surprised me, she seem...in a bad mood.

"Keke, you?" This time Uncle Zhuo asked. I knew it, Keran's his middle of the bread. He suddenly joined the conversation when Keran is the topic.

"Friends." She shortly replied. The hurt on Zihan's face is visible. I knew something happened the day someone attacked Zihan, because since that day, something's change between the two.
