Chapter 15

Yuxin's POV

"They made their first move today." I said. The two already told me about what happened and we were lucky Keran is with Zihan that time.

"How about Yu Yan?" Jiaqi asked.

"I already looked if she's fine. Fortunately, seems like they only have Zihan as their target today." Keran said. That puzzled me, Daimeng is the one assigned to Yu Yan, why did Keran look for her after the incident?

"I actually retrieved this message on the room that the culprit has been." Keran said giving us a red paper with a gold ink written on it.

"What could this be?" Daimeng said reading the letter.

"I've already read that, it made me more confuse." Keran said. I looked at her trying to tell her to elaborate more.

"The letter says exactly like this 'Didn't notice you're there Keran. Sadly, I failed to get Zihan today, but there's still a lot of time left. By the way, there's another girl right? I'm sure she's alone now. What a careless move. Looks like I'm gonna succeed on the other one.' " Keran said and looked at us. We all have the same question. Why did no one attempted on Yu Yan?

"They probably stopped after failing once, or they did not have the opportunity to hurt Yu Yan because of some reasons." Jiaqi said. That could be possible.

"As of now, Keran, continue on watching for Zihan while Daimeng keep an eye to Yu Yan. While me and Yuxin will keep on looking for the gang members inside the program." Jiaqi said, but Keran's words surprised me next.

"We can't do that." She said. We all looked at her.

"What do you mean?" Jiaqi asked.

"Let's change roles. Yuxin look out for Yu Yan since you guys are on the same class, I'll still look out for Zihan while Jiaqi and Daimeng investigates. This is by Daimeng's suggestion." Keran said. I looked at Daimeng who seems to be uncomfortable.

"Did something happened Daimeng? I mean, you worked for weeks to get close to her, then you'll just suggest to restart?" I asked.

"I just thought it will be easier. Besides, Yu Yan is easy to warm up to other girls than me." She said but I can still see she's sad about this.

"Okay, then Daimeng and Yuxin will switch roles." Jiaqi said.

"By the way guys, Director Zhuo gave me a call awhile ago. We are summoned." I said. Keran and Diameng looked at us in surprise.

"What? Why?" Daimeng asked. This is why I excused Jiaqi a while ago.

"Well, the wedding of Lingzi is getting closer. He said we should attend the wedding ball and the wedding itself. It was actually moved next week." I explained.

"We can't leave the girls here. Specially now that they started to attack." Keran calmly said.

"That's what I told to Director Zhuo, and that's why he said he added to the list that we are bringing dates and two of those 4 should be Yu Yan and Zihan." I explained.

"Obviously, Keran, you should ask Zihan. Daimeng how about you? Zuo will be there." I asked her. Diameng seems contemplating and then she finally spoke.

"It's fine, I need to bring someone anyways, then, why not bring Yu Yan." She said. I looked at Jiaqi who's been quite upon hearing what I said.

"Who would you bring Jiaqi?" asked Keran on cue. I looked at her. I'm not stupid, I know she likes Xueer, we've been friends and sibling since she was 10 so she can't hide anything from me.

"I don't know." She said. I know she can't say it because of me.

"How about you Xin?" Keran said. I know she knows about me and Jiaqi liking Xueer. She's probably doing this to draw a secret line so we can avoid both of us asking Xueer to be our date.
