Chapter 34

Third Person's POV

"No!!Xin!" Xueer's scream as Xin fell on the floor. The bullet licked Xin's flesh, it's not that critical but she's bleeding too much.

While kneeling on the floor, she managed to shoot the sender of the bullet precisely while the other decided to ran, knowing Xin is a good shooter.

"No." Xin mumbled in pain as the thug brought Xueer with him. She forced herself to get up as she painfully walk holding her side to decrease bleeding.

"Xin, you should get treated first, we heard sirens a while ago, they probably brought a medical team." Zihan stopped her as she tries to follow the thug.

"No, Zihan. I need to save Xueer." She said as she held Zihan by her wrist and pull the girl with her, but Zihan struggled.

"Xin, if you got critical, the bigger the problem will be." Zihan said as they stop on their track.

"I can't just let that thug have Xueer, Zihan! Can't you understand?!" Xin said as tears are already visible on her eyes. She's starting to feel exhausted and she's not seeing a single light in this situation.

"I'll save her." A voice came interrupting them.

"Keran." Zihan mumbled as she saw her lover. Zihan launched herself at the tall girl, hugging her tight.

"Are you hurt?" Asked Keran. It's ironic how she's asks Zihan despite the bruises that she have herself.

"No, but you are." Zihan mumbled in the hug. The two separated, remembering the situation they are in.

"Xin, go with Zihan, the medical team is on stand by outside." Keran said directly to Xin.

"But-" Xin is about to protest but Keran cutted her.

"Get treated first, and if you're already fine, come back. As simple as that." Keran said. Xin released a heavy sigh and then looked at Keran.

"Promise me to save Xueer." She asked to her friend.

"Sure." Keran said and without a second ran on the direction the thug brought Xueer.

I trust you Keran. Xin thought.

On the other hand, Yu Yan is fighting with all that she have as her partner left her. Keran and her decided to go separate ways as they heard screams somewhere on the opposite wing.

"Are you guys sure you're just a hundred, you seem to not stop coming." Yu Yan mumbled. Thugs keeps coming in front of her, and she's not sure if she have enough bullet for tonight. Keran gave her some, but it's not that much either.

"Feisty." She mumbled to herself when no bullet came out as she aims to one of the thug.

The thug saw this as an opportunity and aim his gun to Yu Yan. The latter is prepared to recieve the bullet and closed her eyes to not see the moment. Then a shot echoed on the place but she felt no pain.

She slowly opened her eyes and saw the thug lying lifeless on the floor. She looked at her back and saw her there.

The girl that keeps her heart beating, figuratively and literally. She stared to Daimeng but the latter seems to not see her, as she started walking.

A pang of pain emerged inside of her as Daimeng walk past her as if she's someone she doesn't know.

What can I expect? I betrayed her. Yu Yan thought to herself.

She wants to hug Daimeng, but she's sure the latter won't like it. All she can do for now is look at her back as she slowly disappear out of her sight.

"Fight first Yu Yan." She mumbled to herself as she snatched the thug's gun and continued on her track.
