Chapter 14

Keran's POV

Time passed so fast and the progress is so alarming. No one's attempting on the two girl's life which is even more scary, the calm before the storm...

It is not just the progress of the mission that's scary, even the progress of Yuxin, Jiaqi, and Xueer.

Lately, Jiaqi has been upsetting Xueer, always. I know she's feeling something for the girl, and it is just her way so she can have an interaction with Xueer. She may not know it though, but she's still doing it unconsciously.

"Hey, what were you thinking?" Zihan approached me suddenly. Me and Daimeng has been doing fine on looking out for the two. Today, the result of the first public performance has been revealed.

Me and Zihan has been in the same class. Now, we have a couple of weeks to practice the theme song, so we have a hold on our own schedule which is a good thing for our mission.

"Nothing." I said. I don't feel like sharing what I have in mind.

"Why are you like that Keran?" She asked me with curiosity filling her eyes.

"Like what Zihan?" I asked her. This is the first time we became this serious when we talk.

"Like you don't want anyone to cross line you drew yourself. You are so closed, and it scares me." Zihan said. I looked at her, this is the first time I saw this side of Zihan. She was always the cute, shy and nice girl.

"Why does it scare you?" I asked looking at her. She stared back making me feel strange. This is a different Zihan, her eyes, they're different.

"Because I don't know if you'll let me in. I like you Keran." She said that shocked me. She confessed to me with full of conviction.

"Please not me, Zihan. You'll just get hurt." I said. I saw her pained eyes in a glimpse and it immediately came back to determination.

"Why?" She asked me, not changing her tone. Can I tell her?

"I am yours today, I'll be yours tomorrow, and it won't change as long as I live..."

"I'll never forget you Keran. No matter what happens, I'll remember you."

"Pain exist, only when I see you..."

Those memories...how painful it is to be the only one who can remember them.

"I'm in love with someone else." I said.

Daimeng's POV

I am with Yu Yan now, this past few weeks, I can say, that we at least progressed from being enemies.

We can't be called as friends but we are not just acquintance as well. We are practicing for the theme song now.

During the practice, I saw her smile. Though it's not to me, I still find it beautiful. I really think she should smile more often.

I saw how caring she is as well. She's been taking care of our teammates ever since the fist day. Lifting them up when they are down, cooking for them, teaching them something about the performance, and though she's still trying to look tough, her soft side is peeking without her noticing.

"You're staring again Daimeng." She said still dancing. I know I'm entering a very dangerous area now, I'm starting to feel something to this girl.

"Sorry, I was just thinking something." I said as she goes on with the moves.

"While staring at me?" She said smirking as she dance with Yes Ok.

I have Zuo, I can't fall for her. I should do something to stop this shit.
