Chapter 24

Jiaqi's POV

Everything's back to normal, well aside from Xin isn't allowed to dance just yet, Keran and I aren't talking yet, Shaking avoids me as long as she can, and Daimeng seems to be closer to Yu Yan. So far, everything's fine.

Despite my talk with Lingzi, I can't still come up fighting for Xueer. Her words keep repeating in my head, the only way I could make her happy is to make Shaking happy, and lately I've been doing nothing to do that.

So I decided, now is the time for me to talk. Time for me to do something for Shaking, to make her happy, to make Xueer happy.

"I'm gonna go to Zihan." Keran said generally to us. She got up and wore her jacket and left the room without another word.

"So you and Keran aren't talking yet?" Daimeng asked me. I just shrugged my head no. It's really my fault, but I don't have the strength and courage to talk to her yet.

"You guys should fix it now." Xin said. She knows about the fight I had with Keran, but not in details.

"Later tonight." I said. I got up from seating as well.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"To Shaking." I said and left. I know I might lead Shaking on with this, but I should do this, I should do everything for Xueer.

I walked at the hallway full of trainees. I continued walking until I saw her in the practice room. Keran, Zihan, and Xueer is here as well.

"Shaking." I said ignoring the three. I just stared at Shaking directly. The latter looked back at me.

"I want to talk to you." I said. She seemed to hesitate but gladly she did agree.

We proceeded to the cafeteria knowing it's not flooded at this time. The trainees had just done their meals.

"What is it Kiki?" She asked. I constructed my sentence first then finally looked up at her.

"I want to fix everything about us. I just thought I should give this a shot." I said. She looked at me with tears in her eyes.

"Did Xueer asked you to do that?" Shaking asked. I was shocked, how could she know?

"How..."She gave me a smile before I can even finish asking.

"I know you confessed to her. You asked her for a talk and the time she came back to our cabin she's different, not as happy as she was before you guys talk. Then after that day, you haven't talked that much and now you're telling me that you want to give us a shot." She said. Tears keep falling but she's still smiling. A proud smile saying she's not as stupid as she think she is.

"Only infants won't know the truth Kiki. So what does she told you?" She asked. I hesitated. I don't want to ruin their friendship.

"Don't worry, I'm not angry or upset to anyone. If anything, this proved that Xueer really does care for me and takes our friendship into consideration." She said as if reading my mind.

"She said, the only way I could make her happy is make her bestfriend happy." I told her the truth. She smiled hearing that.

"You must like Xueer so much." she mumbled.

"Shaking." She looked at me and gave me a certain smile.

"I'll do it then, let's pretend, so you can make Xueer happy. You don't have to feel anything or force yourself, it'll be just a role play. I'm already tired anyways." She said that got into me even more. I even got guiltier.

"Shaking you don't have to do this." I said. She shrugged her head no.

"I want to do this, I learned this to a friend, that I should do everything to make the one that I love happy, even it'll cost me big time." She said.
