Chapter 18

A/N: First of all, I'm sorry for not updating this past few days. It's just, school had been demanding last week, and honestly, I didn't even had a chance to have a proper sleep nor eat without rushing. So sorry if I wasn't able to write. Forgive me:)

Yuxin's POV

It's the wedding ball day. Everything is prepared for us, and we just have to wait until afternoon to fix ourselves.

I walked out if our cabin to look for Xueer. I might say, I am glad that she gave me a chance, but I am worried or more like threatened.

I know Jiaqi likes Xueer, that's why I'm doubting whether I'll continue on pursuing her, or just let Jiaqi have her. I'll confess that my confidence really lacks. Specially that I know, I never won against Jiaqi, literally at anything.

After some few searching, I finally found her. She's with Shaking.

"Hi." I said smiling at them. They faced me and smiled back.

"Hi Yuxin, guess you would prefer me leaving." Shaking said with a mischievous smile.

"No, no, no, it's fine. You guys could continue talking. I'll just wait in the near hut." I said. I don't want to stay while they are talking, they probably want a private conversation and I should give that to them.

"No, it's fine. We're done talking anyways." Xueer said. Shaking smiled at us and excused herself.

"Sooo, are you ready for later?" I asked her showing her my signature smile. I should be charming you know.

"Yes, but I'm kind of nervous." She admitted.

"Come on, why would you be? I mean, I'm sure you'll be the most beautiful out there." I said and she punched me on my side while blushing.

"You changed a lot since you asked to court me." Xueer commented that made me stop.

"Too much?" I asked afraid that she might liked me more before.

"No, I like it." She said giving me a smile. I felt butterflies erupting on my stomach. The very first sweet word Xueer told me, I mean, I know I might sound stupid, but I won't accept it as a platonic one this time.

"What's with the smile Xin?" She asked me in a teasing smile. She knows it affects me.

"Nothing, plotting of what should I do to hear more of that kind of words from you." I said. She chuckled at me.

"Come on, you can't do anything about it." She said. I nodded playfully.

"Guess someone's challenging me huh?" I joked that made her slap me on my shoulder.

"Xin, I never saw this side of you before." Xueer said seriously. I stopped laughing and looked at her.

I watched how her hair dances with the wind, how her eyes captures any possible light in her surroundings, and how genuine her smile is. Now, I have no doubt anymore. I'm gonna pursue this girl. Gonna fight for her even I might lose in the end.

"I'll show you more Xueer. I'll show everything that I am to you, without hiding, without faking, just let me Xueer." I said seriously. I feel so overwhelmed with my feelings towards this girl. She smiled at me warmly.

That's enough for me now. She won't need to return anything that I would say. Our moment had been put to an end when someone approached us.

"Sorry for the disturbance, ma'am. Ms. Lingzi just want to invite you guys on a family lunch. I already told your friends ma'am, they said they're coming." The butler said. I looked at Xueer to know if it's fine with her and she nodded.
