Chapter 35

Third Person's POV

Jiaqi arrived at the storage room where she locked up Shaking, but the room is locked from the inside and she doesn't have a key.

"Shaking, please open the door!" She shouted as she knock on the door. To no avail, Jiaqi did not hear a single response from the girl.

Jiaqi sighed to herself as she turn around thinking of what to do.

"Shaking! Please go far from the door."She shouted hoping the girl would hear. She took several steps back then started kicking the door with force.

With several attempt, the knob broke off and the door opened. Jiaqi rushed inside and saw Shaking that's sitting on the corner staring at nothing.

She can't decipher the emotion in Shaking's face as she got closer. After she's a meter away from the girl, she noticed that tears keeps falling, but Shaking makes no sound nor expression.

"Shaking, sorry." that's the only thing Jiaqi can say for now. Shaking then elevated her gaze to Jiaqi.

"I now remember Kiki. Everything..." Shaking mumbled in a weak voice.

"I remembered how Keran saved me several times, I remember her now Jiaqi." Shaking said and continued crying. Jiaqi let her cry for some time then approached her.

Experiencing almost the same thing in the past, helped Shaking retrieve her memory.

"We have to go out of here now Shaking." Kiki mumbled being sensitive towards the girl.

"Can we...Can we stay here for a while? I don't know how I will face her." Shaking asked. Kiki doesn't have the heart to say no, so she just sat beside her at the dark room.

"Keke seems to treasure you too much. I remembered she liked a girl just once before Zihan." Jiaqi started. How come she's witnessing another love triangle? Her very own was not resolve yet, but there's another one now.

Not resolve? You're still hoping that you'll be picked? She thought to herself.

"I guess it's the time two or three years ago? She always have somewhere to go, and she smiled often. So we concluded she's seeing someone, but after a couple of months, she returned to her usual self, and even worse." She continued.

"I never knew who was the girl, but now I could say it's you. I guess, she's still trying to protect you up until now." She said and Shaking made a sad smile. How painful is it to be forgotten by someone you loved?

"Are you gonna go for her?" Jiaqi asked. Shaking knows what Jiaqi means, Zihan and Keran is a thing now.

"I will." Shaking answered. It's not what Jiaqi expected. She thought Shaking is someone who would always sacrifice herself for others.

"Before, I wasn't able to fight for her because I can't remember her, but I will now. She's worth it." Shaking continued. Kiki then thought to herself and realized she and Shaking have the same role.

They weren't given a chance before, so the moment they had it, they made sure to fight with all that they have. Jiaqi is not sure what would happen to her and Xueer after this night, but one thing is sure for her, she won't let go of the chance that was given to her.

"I just hope this night ends first, and after that, that's when we should think about the other battle that we have." Jiaqi said. They remained sitting there with no words.
