Chapter 2

I was sitting on the couch with Calum-baby Calum on my lap and Aidan beside me.
Future Calum and the unnamed girl sat across from us and finally I finished assessing them.
"Their telling the truth," I said "I can tell. Mothers intuition. I would do a spell to make sure, but I don't wanna risk it just in case it is him"
I told Aidan
"Good enough for me," he smiled and shook Calum's hand "when exactly do you grow out of your hyper phase?"
"Sit down" I said in my I'm-pregnant-and-it's-your-fault-do-as-I-say-or-die voice.
"Your moms scary" the girl whispered to Calum and Aidan sat back down.
"Thank you" I winked at her and she laughed
"So, why did you come to the past?" Aidan asked
"We're on a quest. A dark witch from our future has escaped here and in order to follow, we sent a telepathic link to baby me so he could open the portal" he said
"Your a Lynx. You don't have magic like that" I said
"But I do" the girl said
"Who are you?" I asked
"Mom, meet my future bride, Drew" he said and my jaw dropped
"Little Drew who has cooties so you won't share a juice box?!" I laughed
"That's the one" Drew laughed
"I knew you were gonna be a heartbreaker. Your so beautiful" I said
"I don't compare to you" she blushed and I smiled.
"Okay, how about we take a walk?" I asked
"Wait. Before we do, drink this" Calum handed me a blue vial and I tossed it back without question.
My stomach tingled and suddenly a girl with dark hair and blue eyes peeked out.
"We're good" she said
"What's good? Wait a minute! You! Come back!" I ordered and the girl blushed and slowly eased into the room.
My eyes landed on her necklace.
"Daniella" I smiled and hugged her.
"You recognized her, but not me?!" Calum pouted
"I gave you that necklace" I said, fingering the green stone on her neck.
"It's all I have left of you" she whispered and everyone was quiet.
"You are an idiot" Calum groaned.
"Be nice to your sister!," I snapped and looked at Daniella "do I die?"
"Yes" she said
"How? I don't care when, just how?" I asked
"Childbirth" she looked at my stomach angrily and I looked down.
"Do they live?" I asked hopefully
"Yes?" She asked questioningly
"Then I don't care. So long as my children live, I will die happily" I smiled at her shocked expression.
"Dad said you were insane, but he never said you were this insane" she exclaimed
"When you are a mother, you'll understand the lengths we go for our family" I laughed
"Too late. Your not gonna die. That potion canceled their powers until they can handle them. Without it, you'll burn up" she said
"Will it affect my powers?" I demanded
"Well..." she trailed off and I glared at her "kind of"
"How could you be so stupid!" I yelled at all three of them.
I continued to lecture them and they all took it like ashamed little children.
"We just didn't want to loose you" Daniella whispered
"So you endanger my entire empire! If I were attacked, how would I protect myself?!" I yelled
"That what we're here for. It'll only last another two weeks. That's when the twins are born" she said
"That is not the point!" I yelled
"I really missed out" Daniella said sarcastically to Calum.
"You have no idea" he snorted
"Shut it!" I demanded and gave them all my best angry stare.
"I'm scared" Daniella told Calum.
"You should be. I've only seen that look once" Aidan said, rubbing my shoulders.
"When?" Drew asked
"When someone tried to kill you two" he said to my children.
"Ugh! Your lucky I love you" I growled at them
"I love you, too" Daniella said, hugging me and giving me puppy eyes
"Not gonna work on me" I said and she turned them to her father.
"Stop it" he whined
"Baby" I muttered
"Your pissed off, your immune to cute at the moment" he said and I gave him a glare.
He gave me his heart melting grin and my heart lurched.
"Looser" I sighed and let him hold me.
"I've heard all the stories. You were so kick ass" Daniella giggled
"How old are you?" I asked her gently
"I'm sixteen" she said
"I'm twenty" Calum said
"You come back in time in fifteen years," I sighed "as if you didn't break enough rules"
