Chapter 12

"You... you wanted to do abortion?" Calum asked, looking lost and confused.
I sobbed into my hands and Aidan comforted me.
"I'm sorry" I whimpered and he slowly eased me into his arms.
"It's okay. I get it" he whispered and all the walls crumbled and I quickly got everyone else out before I left, the bricks just barely letting me through.
I landed roughly on the ground in my living room and everyone started crowding around me.
"Hey, are you okay?" Aidan asked
"Never better" I groaned, clutching my head.
"Your head probably kills because of our snooping" Sydney winced.
"Someone help me up" I said and both Aidan and Jace helped me up.
"I got her" Aidan said, a little uneasily and I smacked his arm.
"Relax. No need to let old tensions return" I said and Jace blushed.
"I-I didn't mean to make a move or anything" he told Aidan
"I know, but seeing your guys past made me a little edgy" he explained
"I'm yours, no need to worry" I said and we kissed.
"Ahem" Calum said and I pulled away.
"So, Hanna should be dead" I announced
"She is" Daniella said
"Now, how do we get you home without alerting anymore danger?" I muttered
"Uh, well, I would kind of like to stick around for a few days" Drew said
"Why?" I asked
"Mom, we should talk" Calum said and I eyed them all.
"What's going on?" I demanded as they forced me to sit and everyone except Aidan, Drew and Daniella left up the elevator.
"Mom, Hanna was only the pawn. More are coming after us" he said
"And we'll protect you" I said
"You can't protect me against one of them" he said hesitantly
"Oh for gods sake! Dexter is alive" Drew said and my jaw dropped.
"That's great!" I beamed
"No, mom, it's not" Daniella sighed and I looked at them.
"Dexter... Is after you?" I asked
"Yes. He blamed the twins for your death, so did we, but we weren't as open about it. Dexter tried to kill them and he killed Aidan" Calum explained and studied my expression.
"But, I'm alive. Does that mean Dexter won't turn evil?" I asked
"I can't see like that," Daniella said "all I know is we came here to kill Dexter"
"No" I said
"But, mom-" Calum started
"I said no!" I snapped, anger making my power spike and a vase on the coffee table shattered.
"Then what do we do? Dexter's resentment causes the twins to turn evil" he said and tears came to my eyes.
"We will save all three of them" I said
"How?" He asked
"We find Dexter and bring him home" I said, standing up.
"We don't even know where he is and we don't know if older Dexter came back with Hanna" Calum said
"It's time I take you on a quest. Nicolette style" I smirked
"What's the plan?" Aidan asked me
"Who's ready to go see grandma?" I asked
