"Calum, take everyone and get to the portal" I said seriously
"I'm not leaving you" he argued
"Now" I said in my go-or-it-won't-be-this-bastard-that-kills-you-it'll-be-me voice.
"Let's go. She'll handle this" Sydney told Calum and they left.
"I'll stay" Thea said
"No-" I started
"Mom, I am staying" she growled
"Thea, he's dangerous" I insisted
"So am I" she smirked and her blue eyes turned gold.
"Fine. Stubborn child" I muttered and they all left.
"Mother and daughter? I can't have been gone that long" Lucifer said
"You weren't. But don't get used to it" I said and struck out.
We fought and somehow, he pinned me down.
"Get off her!" Thea screamed and threw a blast of power at him, throwing him off and I flipped, wrapping my legs around his throat, trying to choke him.
"Go" I panted at Thea.
"Never" she said and reached out and tried to rip his heart out,
She pulled a ghost out an his skin sagged a little, but then went back to normal.
I said a spell and the ghost was taken to the Fiery Pits.
We did the same with all the ghosts until the skeleton collapsed and I fell, very ungracefully, onto my ass.
"Let's go" she said and helped me up.
We hurried to the portal as they opened it again.
Thea yelled and they looked per as I sagged against her side, my eyelids heavy and my breath heavy.
"Poison. He poisoned you" Thea whimpered and the others dragged me through the portal.
We landed on the ground as Lissa and Chriatain were getting hot and heavy on the bed.
"Kind of dying down here" I groaned
"Nikki!" They gasped, pulling the blanket up.
"Hey..." I muttered and slumped against Aidan's chest.
.
.
.
I felt all tingly and warm when I woke up.
"Lissa or hibernation?" I muttered, my eyes still closed and people ran to my side.
"Lissa" Sydney told me.
"I'm tired" I yawned and sat up, my eyes raw.
"You nearly died" Calum said
"Story of my life, Calum" I laughed, falling back on the pillows.
"Not in my world. There was no nearly about it" he said angrily and left the room.
"He was just worried" Sydney said when she seen my face.
"I can't change the way I am, Sydney. I can't change my life. I need to take these risks because no body else will" I said sadly
"I would, but I would die after the first attack" she laughed
"You'd do fine. You will do fine" I said
"Naw! You can keep your risks to yourself" she teased
"I need you to promise me something" I said seriously
"What's wrong?" She asked
"If I were to die, I want you to look after the kids and Aidan. They mean the world to me" I said
"Your not going to die" she said sternly
"I am. One day. I will take a risk way to big and I'll die, so promise me" I said, gripping her hand.
"I promise" she said and we hugged.
"Now, I am starving, let's go eat" I smiled, shaking off the sad and serious mood.
