A/N: If you go to my school, no you don't
MAKO POV
"I'm going to head back into my room for now and take a nap," Ryujin yawned as she walked away from us. "Wait," Korra exclaimed, "That blue flame, how'd you do it? Only the Fire nation princess could do it." Ryujin stopped in her tracks and turned around to face us. "Uh...I really don't know. When I woke up, it just suddenly happened," she explained to us, "But I think it was just the way I was raised back when...I also don't remember when either. It just kind of comes and goes. I should probably train myself with that." I knew she would say something like that. She has amnesia. We all stayed there in silence, staring at each other. I could sense Asami and Korra communicating with their eyes as Bolin stared at me. I stared at Bolin back and looked back to Ryujin who was staring at the girls. The girls looked back to Ryujin and looked at me and Bolin. "Well, I'll get going then," Ryujin said, breaking the silence. She began to walk off into the house, leaving us four to be. Korra sat down besides us and watched Ryujin walk inside.
"Do you guys remember about that fire in Republic City," Asami mentioned, "I think it was the Royal Fire Nation family. The former Fire Lord Zuko sent out a search party for his family but eventually came to the conclusion that they were dead. But what if Ryujin was-," then I cut her off, saying, "No! She would've said something to me and Bolin if she was." I didn't want to accept the fact that this possibility could be true. Why wouldn't she say anything to us? Did she not trust us? Did she just not know? "Well, Ryujin was always known to be kind of...well...to herself, Mako," my brother justified, "I get that you guys were close but I don't think that she would tell you everything." I began to question my friendship with Ryujin as everyone talks. "Mako," Korra calls out to me, "Ryujin doesn't really remember much so just give it a break, okay?" I nodded to her and dug my face into my hands. "I just feel guilty about all this. Once Bolin and I were taken in by Toza, it just felt like I turned my back on Ryujin," I explained to them, "But at the same time, it felt like the right decision." I turned my head to Bolin who had a guilty face upon him. "I can't help but feel that it's my fault," Bolin confessed to me, "Like, if it wasn't for me...I don't know but I just feel guilty." "It's not your fault," I console him, "I was doing what was best for us. But it came with a cost." As Korra and Asami listen, Asami whispers something to Korra. Korra brings her ear closer to Asami's lip then a shock expression appears on her face. "What is it," I asked them. They could tell by my face that I didn't seem amused by their little discussion but they insisted that it'll be good. "We could probably jog her memory by listing some stuff you guys did as kids," Asami suggested, "This could possible bring back some memory. You did say she remembers a little bit right?" Bolin added, saying, "Ooh! Ooh! I know one! Mention about the time where Mako's shirt got caught in this fence and it was so funny! Basically, Ryujin had to sew his shirt together and as payback for this thing that I don't really remember, Ryujin sew embarrassing words onto it!" Bolin was already starting to cry from laughter after explaining that embarrassing story to them. I wasn't proud but I still wore it. It was made from Ryujin so why wouldn't I wear it? "That's from a long time ago," I clarified for them, "But you already knew that. The reason why that happened was because I was in her room and there was this thing...y'know what I'm just not going to say it." "C'mon Mako," Korra said, trying her best to convince me to say the whole story, "What happened?" Then out of nowhere, Bolin said, "Oh, I remember now! He saw her diary opened but he thought it was just a regular book and he read it." The whole group began to laugh and I was there, unamused. "But that's a nice story," Korra laughed as she wiped her tears from her eyes. "I'm just gonna head inside," I said to them as I got up. "Okay, don't read things you aren't suppose to," they all teased at me. I groaned and walked inside.
When I entered the building, from the corner of my eye, I saw Aiwei talking to the guard. When I turned my head to see, it was Da Wei. They actually have a lot to talk about when I think about it. I walked passed them like it was nothing but as I was approaching them, Da Wei gave me a look. He glared his eyes at me furiously while Aiwei was talking to him. Not so long after, Aiwei walked away. That was sort of suspicious.
As I walked down the hallway, I heard a familiar melodic tune coming from one of the rooms. It reminded me of the song Ryujin taught me.

"Mako," she called out to me, "Come over here!"I walk to the direction of her voice. As I walked over, I saw her sitting next to a piano. "Uh," I stood there, confused at what she was trying to show, "I've seen this piano many times." She chuckled at me and lightly slapped my arm. "No," she laughed, "Come, sit." She scooted over, making room for me, and patted the space next to her, welcoming me to sit down. "There's this song I wanted to show you," she excitedly said. I sat next to her and carefully watched as she applied pressure to the first key. I couldn't really tell what she was doing or what she was playing but watching her was such a different feeling. She played so gracefully and so precise. Her body moved to the rhythm of the song. But it was to hard to focus on the song. Ryujin was so beautiful. The amount of words that could describe her wouldn't be enough.

As I walked closer to the room, I peeped into the room, seeing Ryujin playing on the piano. "I thought you were asleep," I said as I knocked on the opened door, indicating my presence. She laughed and gestures me to come in. I walk into the room and headed towards the grand piano she was sitting by. "Do you want to hear a song," she asked me."Yes," I answered and smiled at her, "That would be nice."
