POV (EARN)

"Earn, welcome to the Philippines again!"

Alizah, one of my friends, said happily. It's been years since we left the Philippines, and here I am, back again. I spent a few years in Thailand after we found out that my grandpa's illness was getting worse.

Alizah and her friends are the only people I consider close friends. Maybe because I'm not that approachable.

"Ellio, sama ka mag visit sa El Rancho De Peter?"

I'm here in Zambales because we have a house here, and this is where my Dad grew up.

"Sure, Dad."

"Just let the driver take you there."

Peter is one of our business partners, and both our families are friends. I know Mr. and Mrs. Peter, and my Dad told me they have a daughter, but I only know her name, not her face.

"Mr. Ellio, you're here! Let me take you to pick out some fruits."

I met a guy, probably in his 40s, named Kuya Alex, who helped me get some fruits. El Rancho De Peter is one of our suppliers for one of our businesses.

While waiting for Kuya Alex, I decided to go to the flower section of the rancho to get some fresh air. One woman approached me, then suddenly my phone vibrated, so I answered it. It was Alizah asking for help.

"Hello, so what do you need?"

"Grabehan, Earn, ha? Parang wala tayong pinag-samahan, HAHAHA. I just wanted to let you know that I'll be passing by your place later."

"Yeah, sure."

That's all she wanted to say. She could have just messaged me. While talking to her, I saw a girl talking to the woman who approached me earlier. She looked like an angel, and I think I'm two years older than her. But she didn't stay long, another girl appeared, and they left.

That day, I decided to get some groceries. While picking out things, I saw the girl from the rancho yesterday. I noticed she looked at me, but she quickly left.

"Sir, 1500."

After paying, I left. What a shame, it was the second time I saw her.

"Hey, you alright?"

"Uhmm, yeah, just thinking."

Alizah, Fajra, and Alana are here at the house now. They're talking about something while I'm still thinking about who that girl is.

"Earn, come with us to Bakasyunan" Alana offered.

"Yeah, you've been at your house for two weeks mamaya maging mansanas ka na" Fajra added.

Well, they're right, so I agreed to go with them. But I told them I would meet them at 7 pm. I also invited my close cousins, Charles, Jay, and Angelo.

When we arrived at the resort, bad luck would have it, I bumped into someone. Good thing she wasn't holding water.

"Sorry, Miss."
