Harriette POV
It was now Wednesday and the last two days have been awkward. Ryker is there but doesn't talk to me. I catch him staring at me, but when I look at him he turns away. Is there something on my face? Or is it because I'm the hybrid his alpha wants dead?
But here we were, sitting in Shelby's classroom again. I was sat on Damien's lap while we ate. Just then I saw Ryker sneakily looking at me. When he saw me looking at him, he mouthed, 'we need to talk.'
I nodded slightly. He stood up and walked out which wasn't unusual for him. I waited five minutes before excusing myself to the bathroom. Damien wanted to walk me but I told him it was ok, I needed to talk to my friends about some girly stuff.
That made him sit back down. Once I got outside, I saw Ryker waiting for me. He lead me down the corridor so that Damien wouldn't be able hear us. Even with his wolf hearing, it would be muffled.
"What's wrong?" I looked up at him. Yeah these guys are over 6ft and I'm here with my 5'3 height. Just great. Note the sarcasm? Yeah I'm fluent sarcastic.
"I can see the worry in your eyes. Damien can't but I can. What's going on?" Ryker had concern all over his face.
"Nothing, I'm fine." I lied. Just him asking that made tears form in my eyes. "Beside from the not sleeping, jumpiness at every small sound. Thinking Damien will appear out of no where and kill me because he found out that I'm the hybrid." I cried.
Ryker immediately pulled me into a hug. I sobbed from the fear of Damien finding out.
"Hey, Shh, Shh. It's ok. I won't let him do anything to you. I promise." He whispered to me.
"What the hell are you doing?" I heard someone whisper yell at us.
When me and Ryker looked up, we saw Jeremy and Tom stood there. Guessing Damien and Toby stayed with Shelby.
"It's not what it looks like." Me and Ryker both told them.
"Then what were you doing? And have you been crying?" Jeremy took a step closer to me. Only for Ryker to push me back a little and step forward.
"Ryker, that's alphas girl. What the fuck are you doing?" Tom stepped forward to.
"If we tell them-," I started.
"They won't know shit, harri. They'll tell Damien in a heartbeat and kill you." He looked at me.
"What? Why would we kill harri? She's so sweet an innocent." Jeremy frowned.
"That's what you think. But not when I tell you what I really am." I whispered.
"What are you talking about?" Jeremy and Tom asked me.
I shuffled from one foot to the other out of nervousness. "I'm a wolf." I admitted.
"Oh. Ok, so you've been masking your scent, what's the problem?" Tom raised one eyebrow.
"My dads a vampire. My mum died while giving birth to me because I'm the hybrid Damien's been looking for." I confessed.
"That's not possible." They both said in disbelief. Just then I made my wolf eyes which are blue and my vampire eyes which are red.
"The blue is my wolf and red is my vampire." I told them.
"Oh shit." They breathed out.
"B-but, your so nice. You don't look like you could take down a whole town in on night." Jeremy stated.
"She's never touched a human before. Only a blood bag every other day." Ryker said.
"How do you know this?" They asked him.
"Remember when I told you I ran into a vampire and was stronger than me? Well it was Harriette but I left out the hybrid part. I promised her I wouldn't tell Damien." He told them.
"Alright, we'll do the same. I don't believe the council one bit that Harriette is what they told us. It's bullshit." Jeremy said.
"Of course. We won't say anything." Tom smiled at me.
"Thank you both. So much." I started crying again.
They all brought me into a group hug. After a couple minutes, there was a loud growl. We all pulled away to see Damien stood there, his eyes flicking between black and his normal hazel colour.
He grabbed my wrist and pulled me to him. "Mine." He growled.
"Yes baby, all yours." I held his face to the crook of my neck so he could calm down.
"Why have you been crying?" Damien asked me. Although it came out muffled from my neck.
"Because my dad just got news my aunt died this morning. He called me when I came out of the toilets and I saw the boys. They all comforted me since they have lost someone close to them as well." I lied. I kept my heartbeat steady so he wouldn't know I'm lying.
"I'm sorry, Lobito. It'll be ok, I promise." Damien hugged me tighter, thinking it'll help by the mate bond. And it did help so much.
After a couple minutes, we all went back into the classroom. We all sat down and started talking. I was sat on Damien's lap again just getting as much comfort as I can. While it lasts anyway.
Jeremy, Ryker, and Tom was looking at me so I flashed my eyes blue then back to my normal green. They all smiled and chuckled to themselves.
"What are you three laughing at?" Toby asked them.
"Harriette made a funny face. She's so weird. Ain't that right bitch?" Tom laughed.
"Yeah, because I'm a bitch." I rolled my eyes and smiled.
"Sure are." Ryker smiled. Damn male wolves calling us she wolves bitches because a female dog is called a Bitch. I'm kind of glad I don't have a pack.
