Damien POV
The next day I went back home to the pack. Harriette went to talk to Dustin about yesterday so he knew why Shelby was upset.
When I got to my land, I became furious. Not only did Shelby lose a baby but I lost an uncle or auntie. Wether it be from a different woman or species, Shelby still lost a baby, my dad a potential sibling and me an uncle or auntie.
"Dad! Dad!" I yelled with a growl when I entered the pack house. I found him with my mum, Jenson and Elizabeth.
"What's wrong?" He stood up when he saw my distressed face.
"Where's James?" I growled.
"Your grandpa? Why do you want to know?"
"Have you ever met a woman called Shelby? She was held here way back when? James beat and raped her with other men. He got her pregnant, killed the foetus and tied her tubes. Now her and her one can't have kids themselves. So I ask again, where the fuck is James?"
All of them had shock all over their faces. My dad looked like he was about to cry. He then grabbed my arm and dragged me out the pack house and through the woods. Not long after we came to a small house where I got the scent of James and my grandma.
My dad banged on the door with his fist. My grandma quickly opened the door with a smile. Only for it to fall when she saw me and my dads angry faces.
We both walked in to see James sat on the sofa with a cigarette in his mouth. "My son and grandson. What do I owe this pleasure?"
"A woman called Shelby, a vampire at that." My dad growled. James' face fell.
"Where did you get that name?"
"That doesn't matter. How the fuck can you and other men do that to a woman?" My dad growled loudly making the walls shake.
"Son, it was ages ago. It doesn't matter now." James laughed nervously.
"Yes, dad. Yes it does. Not when she could have given me a potential little brother or sister. You took that from me and not only that, you took any chance of her having children with her one as well. How much more sick can you get?" My dad scoffed.
"We can't cross breed with them creatures. So I got pack doctors to tie her tubes. Boom, she don't get pregnant and I could get some fun out of it."
"Have you not heard of pulling out?" He yelled. "Actually, screw that idea. Don't fucking kidnap women, rape and torture them only to pleasure you and your men. It's disgusting and disrespectful wether it was back then or not. Get it in your fucking head what you did was wrong, and don't think I won't give her an apology on your behalf and a load of money to adopt a child herself and turn it at the right age."
Just then my dad pulled me out of the house and back to the pack one. When we got there my dad got a bag and went to the pack safe. He took out quite a bit, stuffing the bag to the brim.
"You show me where this woman lives. And how do you know her? A vampire Damien, really?" He rolled his eyes.
We got to the woods and shifted into our wolves. My dad picked up the bag in his mouth and followed me to the cottage. When we got there, we got shorts on and went up to the door.
I walked straight in and saw Derek and Shelby cuddled up on the sofa watching a film.
"Hey." Shelby smiled sadly at me.
"Hey, this is my dad." I told her. She sat up with Derek who kept a careful eye on him. His eyes flicking between red and his normal dark blue showing him his vampire was also there if he tried anything. I'm the same with Harri.
"He won't hurt you. We have come with an apology on behalf of James." I sighed and sat down. My dad next to me looking at them.
"I'm so sorry that happened to you, Shelby. I'm sorry you lost a child and me a sibling. In this bag is enough money to get a child or two to adopt and raise yourself. Then when you feel ready, turn them and I will provide men to get you blood bags and whatever you need." My dad smiled sadly at her to.
Shelby started crying while Derek had glossed over eyes. He hugged and kissed her face all over.
"Thank you so much." Derek smiled gratefully at us.
"My dad is a horrible man. When I grew up and still is. This is not only for you but for me as well. Knowing the mother of my sibling is happy even if they passed." My dads voice cracked.
Harriette walked in and smiled at me. She didn't even notice my dad before coming over and kissing me. Well he would have found out sooner or later so I just kissed back.
"Hmm, hello beautiful." I smiled at her while Tobias just drooled over how beautiful she is.
"Hey." She pecked my lips once more and sat on my lap. "Shelby you ok?" Harriette's face fell.
"More than I could ever be at the moment." She replied.
"Hello again Harriette." My dad chuckled.
"Oh hey Carlo." My mate smiled. "Carlo!" She yelled and got off my lap. "What are you doing here? With Damien."
"Well Damien told me about Shelby so I gave her some money to adopt a child or two. And Damien, I didn't know you got into a serious relationship. I thought you were waiting for you mate to do that." My dad looked at me.
"Who said I didn't?" I shrugged and pulled Harri back on my lap. She giggled and squealed when she fell and I kissed her.
"You're mates? Well I wouldn't ask for a more kind girl to be by your side. When will she become Luna?" He asked.
"I don't know dad. Me and Harri are kind of struggling to have a pup at the moment. So maybe when she gets pregnant even if it takes a long time. Or when she is ready to be Luna." I shrugged.
"Well I hope the best for you all. Once again, I'm so sorry Shelby. I hope this helps you and your partner. I'll be going now, don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything." My dad smiled at us all before leaving.
