Eighteen

Harriette POV

It has been two weeks since Damien took my virginity. We've been trying a lot to get pregnant. Shelby has even tried giving me a remedy to I can ovulate more often.

When I woke up this morning, I felt a little nauseous. Damien was at his pack house so I was on my own. Shelby had brought me a bunch of pregnancy tests so I would be able to take them whenever I felt like I could be pregnant.

Me and Damien had researched some of the symptoms of pregnancy and morning sickness was another. After a few minutes, I was up on my feet, running to my bathroom. I threw up for a good ten minutes before stopping.

As quick as I could, I flushed the toilet, brushed my teeth and got a couple pregnancy tests out. In the end, I had four tests on the counter as the timer went down and I paced the floor.

When it went off, I turned off my phone and raised a shaky hand. Each of the four tests came back negative. My heard sank and tears streamed down my cheeks. I loud cry echoed in the house as all three of my guardians rushed in.

Shelby immediately saw the tests and hugged me tightly. My dad and Derek looked at all of them and had sadness in their eyes. Ever since I was little, they all knew how much I wanted to find my mate and have pups. They knew more than anyone that I wanted to have a family.

"It's ok sweetheart. We're here for you." Shelby hugged me tightly. After a few minutes she let go and the familiar scent of my dad surrounded me.

"Daddy it hurts. It hurts so bad." I sobbed.

"I know sweetheart. I know it does. But it'll get better. It will I promise." He pulled me on to his lap and rocked me.

Damiens POV

As I sat at my desk going through paper work, I felt Harriette wake up. We had marked each other, she has a nice crescent moon with a wolf howling on her neck. And I have the same, but she had a black wolf and I have a clear one.

Just then, I felt nauseous. Through the mate bond I could tell it was Harriette. Tobias then told me that Lexi said she was being sick.

Five minutes later, I felt an overpowering sadness. Like I had lost the love of my life right before my eyes. Tobias was immediately on high alert, making me panic. I could feel how hurt Harriette was and didn't waste a second to leave the pack house.

"You ok?" Ryker stopped me when I got outside.

"No." I shook my head. "Somethings wrong with Harri." I told him before walking away.

"What's wrong? Is she ok?" He followed me.

"I don't know. She's crying, I can feel how upset she is. But upset isn't what I would describe it as." I stated.

When I got to the edge of the woods, I took off my clothes and shifted. Ryker followed and our wolves ran as fast as we could to my mate.

The familiar cottage came into view. Me and Ryker shifted again and slipped on shorts Harri left for us. From outside I could hear her sobs and her dads comforting words.

"We've got you. It's ok sweetheart, it'll be alright." Her dad told her.

I ran through the house and into her room. Stood by the door was a crying Shelby and a hurt looked Derek. They both looked at me with sympathy and moved out of the way. When I got to the bathroom, I saw Harriette on the floor sobbing while her dad held her close to him.

Just then I saw four pregnancy tests on the counter. My heart sank more, for as I got closer, I could see the results. All were negative and my breathing came in heavy. Tears formed in my eyes as I looked at my heartbroken mate.

Aiden moved away from his daughter so I could comfort her.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Harriette sobbed. Though it came out muffled as her face was buried in my chest.

"It's ok baby. We can try again. Remember what we spoke about?" I kissed her head. "Until you want to try something else we will keep trying."

Aiden, Derek, Shelby and Ryker all left Harriette's room so I could comfort her. I picked her up bridal style and carried her over to her bed. We both laid down, and I made sure to keep her close to me.

My poor mate sobbed into my chest as she fisted her hands. Just then she started kissing my chest. She moved up to my lips then straddled me, grinding against my manhood.

I pulled away and turned my head to the side. "Baby you're hurting. We can leave it today and start again tomorrow."

"But you said we could try." Her voice cracked. "You said we could try whenever."

"I know, Lobito. But you're not thinking straight. Baby, you're hurt and I get that, I want you to be pregnant just as much as you do. But I will never take advantage of you because you're upset. We can cuddle and watch a film if you want, and we'll start again tomorrow." I pulled her down to my chest and held her tightly as she sobbed.

Nothing is worse than seeing my mate like this. Shelby told me stories of when Harriette was younger and wanted pups with her mate. Only if I could give her what she wanted. What we both want.

I would never blame Harriette for that accident, making it slim for us to have pups. Who I blame is the person that caused it. I hate that he or she took away the ability for my mate to be happy and have a family. But no matter what, I will try and give my Lobito a family, even if that means using anything to help.
