"You can't stop me now..."
Have you ever heard the sound of seven cows having birth in unison?
Well the seven of us singing was not nearly as better.
Charleston springs on top of the sofa in the corner, doing some weird stand seizure dance next to Willow who's pulling the running man. China let her hair loose and was head banging to the Illéan Pop. Arena even stopped observing the plants to jump to the beat.
However, my favorites had to be our special guests, Aria and Hero.
Hero had her palm on a branch of a huge plant, as her arm caressed the vase. I guess you can say she pulled a couple tango moves, but one hundred percent honesty I knew exactly where Augustus had gotten his "sick" moves from. Aria was bouncing on Charleston's bed, singing not good, but better than all of us. She held a hair brush to her lips, singing out the lyrics of the song like they were imprinted into her memory card.
The song dialed down as I, who was dancing like a fish out of water, suggested-
"Who wants to go stair sledding?"
Of course the bewildered glances basically asked me what that was, so I answered their unasked question.
"Everyone just grab the biggest pillow you can, and follow me!"
They all obeyed and we dashed down the hall and to the humongous case that was lit with the installed candle light.
I courageously place the plump white pillow onto the perimeter of the top step, jump onto it, and brace myself for the next move. Shoving my feet first, I start the officially sport of stair surfing. The gasps behind me were humorous, as I wobbled to sustain my agility; the pillow bumping down the stairs. After many, I tumbled off laughing at a hysterical level as they all joined me.
It wasn't until this night...this moment; that I understood the meaning of friends, and judgement. Charleston always understood. Being the faithful, loyal, and only friend I ever had until tonight.
China...I underestimated her. She appeared as this spoiled brat who was going to get her way, but honestly she probably wanted a get away from her true home. Or just simply felt something, like I, had felt many times with Augustus.
Willow...being the Olympian athlete she is, I assumed her as a crude and bossy person, but she's just like us. Girls who are in a castle wearing dresses and glitter to find love.
Arena...she always appears as this very odd girl. She sits silently and has a strange fetish for plants, but maybe plants speak to her. Like the medical society speaks to me being as it's a relation with my father.
Maybe...just maybe, I judged these girls all to quickly. The girls who all were someone special and sincere beneath the tensity of the competition and the heaviness of the foundation.
Call me cliche, but I feel as if I made friends today...tonight; that'll last a life time.
"Let's go to the theatre!" Roared Hero, who was obviously induced in many candy and sugar created actions.
We all rushed down the stairs, our backs to the garden doors, and into the theatre. It was huge and dark with luxurious plush seats, and a popcorn making machine.
We laugh at the movie, and cry (blame the hormones), but in the end we all just applauded. They were straying threw an array of movies when I received a gut feeling. I look down and don't even realized that I have the heart necklace on and I felt a strange vague stare. I look up and see Willow eyeing the tied masterpiece.
"Excuse me girls, I'll be right back." I explained, rushing out the theatre door and all the way to the third floor where I rushed into my room, despite my maids sewing in the corner, and I shoved the gift from Augustus beneath my mattress.
"Can we help you with anything, miss?" Miss Patsy asked, but I simply rejected and walked out the door.
It was weird wandering the palace at night alone. You have no conversations to tune out your stupid ideas. The selected's doors remained open, as I strode past majority of them. Then I saw a room. Not just a room, but a room I recognized was Willows. Not just by watching her walk out of it, but because their was running equipment and gold medals.
Like I mentioned, with me being alone my stupid ideas took control. Willows room smelt like cologne, probably because of the mass overdose of deodorant. It was dark, considering the lights off and me most definitely not wanting to touch anything. Her maids weren't there. Her closet doors are cracked open. At first I suspect a maid to be hiding beneath it's shadows, but the rooms been dark since we left a couple of hours ago.
I place my foot at the crease of the door, and I wiggle my toes until it catches enough that it opens without any trace of prints. I don't see no maid in sight, but dresses...a lot of dresses. A red bandana on the floor, and a couple of tennis shoes. Then I see it. The huge cloth of shadow black, and the mask hidden in it's pocket. All of a sudden it becomes incomprehensible as to why she had done it, but I knew one fact.
Willow Jennings was the woman in black.
