I woke up to my alarm going off. "Colby wake up." I groaned. "Why can't we just lay here a while?" I laughed a bit at how groggy he was. "I have to get ready for the rodeo." I said, I kissed him and he pulled me on top of him. I sat up straddling him. He opened his eyes and sat up. "Okay. Do you mind picking my outfit?" He said bashfully. I nodded and got up.
We all met down in the lobby and were left for the fairgrounds. "Hello?" I answered my phone and put it on speaker. "Hello. This is Luke Combs manager. Am i speaking to Ms. Marigold Wallen?" "yes ma'am." i said joyfully. "Perfect. My client is insisting that he works with you. When are you free to work?" "i'm out in Texas for the next 2 days. but i'll be free anytime after that." i said smiling at the phone. "okay." "Can i talk to you tomorrow to set up a date and time?" i ask getting out of my truck and putting the phone up to my ear. "of course. Have a lovely day and good luck" she said sweetly. i said my goodbyes and looked at my friends.
"y'all ready?" i asked holding onto Colby's hand. they all nodded and we went into registration for me. "Hi. I'm.." "Marigold?" an older woman emerged from the crowd ahead. "yes ma'am." i responded with a sweet smile. "Are you gonna just ignore your poor old honorary grandma?" she laughed a bit. "Mrs. Bishop?" i asked confused. "The one and the only, at least i hope" she laughed and i soon joined her. i gave her a big hug and introduced her to the group. we caught up a bit and we said our goodbyes. i finished registering my team and we went to the fair. "this is so much fun!" devyn yelled out a bit. a couple guys were starting at Me and the girls but only one got my attention. Ty was there... He never went to these. "Bella!" he yelled out and i pretended to not hear. "MARIGOLD ISABELLA!" he yelled louder. "JAMES TYLER!" I yelled back at him. The group stopped moving and i held onto Colby hand a bit tighter. "i see you moved on fast." he said looking at our hands. "I'm not having this conversation with you." i said coldly. "Bella. i'm sorry." "i would be too." i said to him. "i get you are mad but come on." he pleaded. "don't come on me. You strung me along for years."
