Elisabeta Dalca's perspective – Jan 10 Mon – early morning

My desire, and prediction, are that Leida will marry Olivia because the stars say that my recently-born grandson, Adrian Sobolev, son of my daughter Cherith Sobolev, will in two decades marry the as of yet unborn, but recently conceived daughter of Leida (and I know the name she will be given, but I will not mention it to anyone—that is for her parents to announce). And since my daughter and her husband Julian live in Washington D.C., having Leida go to New York will be very profitable to me—very profitable indeed, because when I grow old, I will live with my daughter and having Leida and Olivia and their child as members of my family will play out the course of the telling of these stars quite well. Olivia will take Leida to New York. Without Olivia, this would never come to be. I am to hold this knowledge close, of the betrothal of these children, for fifteen more years, and then intervene to introduce Adrian to his future wife, dear Leida's child, who we will expect in... August.

Leida is a girl of astounding intuition! And having my line blend with hers, yielding the future Lizet Sobolev, child of Adrian and the as-of-yet-unnamed-one of Leida and Olivia, to be an ultra-gifted seer of her times, will be my most glorious legacy to this Earth!

I look across the valley now, out my front window, and I am so touched with sensitivity to the beautiful rays of prismed starlight that pass through the daylight air, undetected by all save ones such as I, and I do feel the future touch of these two children and what will transpire in our joint families, and how all we participants will profit—if we but let it be—let it come to pass.

I reflect: my powers of seeing, they do not need my room with all its props—these are but for show, to engender confidence and directed distraction in the minds of those I watch over. No. My power comes from asterprism, the fractured filtered flow of small star-clustered-patterned-sourced starlight-of-the-day.

Olivia brings, will bring, in future, skill to imbue in her unnamed child for coupling logical with prosaic thinking. The child will accrue her mother Leida's gifts of insight and communications and words. These all, in turn, will pass through to their child's daughter, Lizet. And Adrian will pass leadership to her from his father and foretelling from me, via his mother, which gives to the child Lizet a born sensitivity to asterprism that will carry her far. Indeed, so very very far— Oh My! And from all of them pass down: the courage to think and to try. What a power they will be all together, and they will all be mine, though much of the final fruits of this arrangement will flow on beyond the reach of my time on Earth. The world will be on the path to a better place by then, when Lizet comes into her own.

Niels Kepner's perspective – Jan 10 Mon

I want to marry Anja because this will be profitable to my career, to have such a skillful arranger of plans and coordinator of people helping me—in Asia! For surely, I will be in Thailand by this summer and the customs and norms require attention to detail, by my spouse, as I engender bonds of strength between our two nations.

Also, at this time, Anja owes me—I am delivering, doing much for her right now. Without me, there would be no advocacy. And personal indebtedness is the currency of the political marriage. Ach Ja! Although I do admit that Frau Lehmann has been instrumental in this as well.

I have no strong desire for romance, and Anja, as a professional, will surely understand this. She will gain much, and in a big way, from my guiding hand. She will have safety, with me as shield.

She accepted my ring! It is as good as done. And her Papá—he wants this too! Although, I suspect, as much as any possible motive, his support is as a result of his recent sharing of affections with my aunt, Lies. Ach Ja! I do know all about this!
