Before reaching to pick up my bags and head to the U-bahn station, I look over to the unloading area and see a light green US Army car pulling away from the curb, maybe 30 yards away.
In its wake, I see her, standing there, looking up into the sky. She is watching my jet. But, there is a smile on her face!!
It is so silly to see her watch me fly away, and she is smiling, that I can only smile myself, a sort of crazy weird smile: of disbelief, like am I dreaming, but also having a look like a sudden windfall has come to me and all my worries are abruptly ended!
