====MCKENZIE====

Adrien sets me down on a coffin and picks up the dress, then puts it behind his back again.

"Now, I'm going to show you this again. Don't attack me with your kisses again, or else we most definitely won't make it in time to apply you for the academy. Not that I would complain if you did, though, hehehe," Adrien says, then winks at me. I huff and playfully roll my eyes.

"I'll control myself this time, I promise," I say with a laugh as Adrien fakes a small pout. He then chuckles and pulls the dress out from behind his back.

As soon as he does so, I grab the dress from his hands and run to my room to put it on. Afterwards, I hear my door open and Adrien steps inside. He laughs when he sees me struggling with the zipper at the back.

"You just had to put a back zipper on, didn't you," I grumble as he brushes my hair to the side and zips the dress up.

"Of course. I knew it would give me a chance you help you put it on," he teases, kissing the top of my temple. I swat at his arm and laugh, then go over to a mirror and look at myself. Adrien walks up behind me and takes my hair in his hands and begins styling it, twisting it around and scrunching it up.

I was in awe at how it turned out. The braid and a few locks of hair dangled down in front, but the rest was styled like a messy bun of some sort at the back of my head, with small strands of hair dangling from it.

"Goodness, why didn't you become a hair stylist rather than an undertaker?" I tease. He rolls his eyes and laughs. I look myself over and smile. I then see my eyes. I just then realize I must have left my contacts in and that they seem to glow like Adrien's. I'm surprised that they aren't hurting my eyes, since I hear that contacts can do that. I raise my hands to my eyes, but before I can do anything, Adrien quickly grabs hold of my wrists.

"What on earth are you trying to do? Take your eyes out?" he asks, tilting his head to the side. I raise an eyebrow.

"Um, no. I'm trying to take my contacts out," I say, half trying to pull my hands from his grasp. Adrien just chuckles and releases one of my hands before reaching into a pocket of his robe and pulling out my contacts case. With my contacts inside.

"You mean these?" he asks, wiggling the case in front of my eyes. He then places a pair of black glasses on the bridge of my nose. "Do not ask how, but I gave you your eyes. They're special, like mine, so I could do so. Remember a while back when I told you your eyes turned green when you cried? Well, that was a sign to me that you had special ones. I have these glasses that look just like the new recruit pair, but I put in fake lenses so they don't mess up your vision since you really don't need glasses. However, you must wear them or else all hell will break loose. Trust me," Adrien explains. I feel that all I can do is nod, since I'm at a loss of words. "Good. Now, tilt your head back," he says. I do so, and he removes my glasses. Not long after, a drop of cool liquid enters each of my eyes, and I blink a few times before looking in the mirror. I frown when I see that they are the color of a normal reaper's. "I styled your hair and 'fixed' your eyes so that you don't look too much like me. I doubt things will go very well if people notice," he says. Adrien then places a beautiful black rose in my hair after putting my glasses on me once more. I raise my hand and feel the petals of the flower, realizing it's a real rose. I look at myself all over in the mirror.

A new pair of fitted black boots that buckled up the sides, much like Adrien's, and reached my lower thigh. A beautiful dress that is longer in the back than it is in the front, and thin straps that tie around my neck to fully support the dress. Beautifully styled hair. New eyes. A lovely rose. I can't believe it.
