Chapter 31

Rebecca's P.O.V

"It's positive" my sister Claire said excitedly. She rushed over to me and started talking excitedly about baby stuff but couldn't hear her at all. I was still in shock, I couldn't believe that I am pregnant, well I could believe but I just didn't want to.

I was having a mini panic attack, my hands started to sweat and shake. I never planned on having a child, I don't know i just never saw myself as a mother. I have always been focus on the company and getting my father's approval.

If my father didnt arrange my marriage with Marcus , I wouldn't have married.

And not that I didn't want the baby now that it's here, I'm just scared and insecure. Am I going to be a good mother?

Claire stopped taking when she saw that I was panicking, she reached for my hands and I looked at her.

"Everything is going to be alright, I'm here for you and so are your family and don't forget Marcus" when she mentioned Marcus I instantly teared up. I missed him and I also hated that I missed him. I looked down at my flat stomach and smiled. I am going to have a mini Marcus.

A house snapped me out of my thoughts, it was the baby monitor,
London was awake. Claire apologized then ran to her baby.

I sat there for a few minutes more before I went to the kitchen to finish the omelette Claire was about to cook.

It's been a week since the discovery. Two days after I found out , Claire and I went to the doctor to make sure because pregnancy test are not always right. I am indeed pregnant, four weeks to be exact.

I was currently working from home because I'm avoiding Marcus, real mature of me. I haven't figured out when and how I'm gonna tell him about the pregnancy.

I told my parents after I confirmed it, they were exited for their second grandchild. My sister Susan is coming to visit in a few days so I decided I would tell her then.

From my room I could hear the doorbell ring, no one was home at the moment. Claire is out dropping off London at her father's and then she going to hang out with some friends. Mom and dad went back to Canada to visit my aunt, they were only gonna spend a week.

I made my way to the door, I wasn't expecting anyone today. I opened the door and was surprised who was there.

"Marcus" I gasped, I didn't expect him. He looked so tired , dark circles under his eyes. His clothes were crushed which would make me assume that he had it on from yesterday. He was a mess.

"I know you don't want to see me right now but Rebecca , I miss you so much and I'm sorry that I hurt you, trust me that was never my intention. I don't know how to prove how sorry I am , you said you wanted the company, it's all yours. I love you Rebecca and I can't see my life without you"

Did Marcus just drop the L-bomb

"Did you just-"I asked surprised, leaving the last of the sentence out.

Marcus thought for a moment then said "Yeah I did and I meant it, I love you Rebecca Lora Park Knight "

I was shocked

"You don't have to say it back, no pressure"

I didn't feel like it was the right time for me to say that I loved him, I wasn't even sure if I loved him. Either way I missed him and I can forgive him for the kisses. Even though it happened during our marriage, it was before we decide to try.

"I forgive you and any way I like being co-owner of the business" A simile graced his lips, how I loved seeing him smile.

"Really"

"Yes" he pulled me into a mild bone crushing hug and then kissed me senseless, oh, how I've missed him.

"I'm sorry " he said pulling away.

"It's okay " I said before I kissed him.

Marcus and I am in a better place now. I haven't told him that I'm pregnant yet, I will soon. I was just waiting for his birthday which is in a month, it would be a beautiful birthday surprise.

I spent another week at my parents with my sister until my parents came back. Susan also came to visit for a few days. It was fun to have to both of them with me, we went to the spa together and much more.

A month went by so fast , and things were sort of back to back to normal. Marcus and his father were still trying to find Madison, he was just so stressed lately.

Marcus never wanted a big birthday party this year so we just had a regular gathering like we do every Sunday . We ha a BBQ with family and friends, it was fun. When 7:00 came everyone starts giving Marcus presents. I waited until everyone gave theirs before I have mine.

I handed it to Marcus and he opened it. It was a onesie. He looked at it and didn't look surprised. His family members saw the onesie and came to congratulate us.

I was upset that I didn't get a reaction out of him. Marcus saw that I was upset and pulled me towards him so I sat on his lap.

"Why are you so upset "

"You weren't surprised" I said pouting

"That's because I live with you, don't you think I didn't notice your morning sickness, food cravings and mood swings. "

"So you knew?"

"Yes I did"

I can't keep anything from him.

There you go. I wrote this chapter a few days ago but was too lazy to type it .
