Today I tried my best to get as much work as I could done so I could go home early today. I wished that I could have stayed home with Rebecca today and work form home but that wasn't an option today. I've been working from home for about three months and I didn't want my workers to thing that they could slack off just because I wasn't physically at work.

Today basically just consisted of paper work and visiting sites of ongoing projects, Dad stopped by and we talked business. Even though he was retired, he still stops by every now and then despites mom's objection. It was fun spending time and talking with my father, it was like when he was mentoring me to take over the company.

After completing all my work, I was able to leave four hours early than I would normally would. I got into my car and drove off,  I was on my way to pick up Rebecca's favorite pastry that she asked me to get her this morning.

I made my way home after having picked up Rebecca's order. I was excited to see my wife, she was so big now ready to pop. I can't believe that I'm going to be a father soon. The joy I felt at the moment was unexplainable. Rebecca is the one responsible for my happiness and I don't no what I would be without her. She was my everything, she is my everything. I loved her so much, it hurts.
I was now five minutes from our house, we planned on having dinner at James and Sophia's House tonight. It will be starting in 5 hours so we had a lot of time till then. I busied myself with thinking of possible things Rebecca and I can do till then.

I walked into the house as soon as I arrived. I called out for Rebecca as I made my way into the kitchen but I got no reply. I was confused, normally at this hour Rebecca would be in the kitchen making a snack or in the library reading. Oh, yes, the library I should check there, maybe she is so lost in one of her latest books that she's reading that she can't even hear me.

I walked to the make shift library that was across from the living room. The library is on the second floor but because of the pregnancy, everything has been temporarily moved down stairs. But when I arrived, Rebecca wasn't there.

I called for michael, who was in charge of housekeeping.

"Michael, where is Rebecca"

"Mrs. Knight hasn't been home for the last three hours sir"

"What" I felt it, my anger was rising, what, how could she be gone for such a long time and no one never thought of calling me.

I dismissed michael, knowing that standing here blaming him for my wife's absence wouldn't be the smartest thing to do. I want her phone but every time I was sent to voicemail. She didn't tell anyone where she was going, so I was at a disadvantage in finding her.

Oh Rebecca, why did you choose to be so reckless I thought.

I rang up James for some help, postponing or even canceling tonight's dinner.

It was now an hour later and I was driving, following the tracking device that  we had installed in Rebecca's car. James was beside me telling me where to be, I was so grateful for him at this moment because in this situation he was the only thing keeping me seen. I was so worried, where was she, was she okay, was she alive, there was so many questions on my mind and no answers. Why no, why to us, who would want to kidnap Rebecca if that was what happened we weren't sure yet but I was kind of 100% sure it was what happened because Rebecca wouldn't have disappeared like that. It just wasn't like her.

The trucking device led us to the middle of nowhere, we found it because car but Rebecca was nowhere to be found. Finding the car without her made me think that she was indeed kidnapped, and James thought so too. James called some friends at work to help us find her because it has evolved into a situation bigger than we thought. After that James searched the car for any clues that could pinpoint us to where they would've gone.
