Chapter 7

I can't do this

Sharing a room with Marcus has proven to be very difficult. Even though I might not like him, I couldn't deny even if I would never concede to anyone that I was physically tempted by him. And because I know this now, I see how this honeymoon, how this sharing one-bed dilemma could go terribly wrong.

Like for instance last night when he got out of the showers and walked into the bedroom, the towel that was wrapped around his waist hanged dangerously low and this v line was awfully noticeable. The water droplets that dazzled on his beautifully sculpted body, he was so tempting but he's Marcus and I hate him and with that quickly got up and had a nice, long cold shower.

And this morning was the same thing, but before he went to take a shower, he started to get undressed before me. My heart started to race, 'this is not good, this is not good'.  I immediately covered my eyes with my hands. I heard him chuckled at my actions, I didn't care if my actions were childish, I did not want to see him naked.

He went into the bathroom and my mind started to visualize some disturbing scenarios

Then the phone rang and I was delighted for the interruption.

"Hello"

Hello, can I speak with Mr.knight please "

"He's in the bathroom now, but you can leave a message "

"I'm sorry but who are you? " she asked

"I'm Marcus' wife"

"Mrs. Knight, I'm so sorry, I wasn't informed that you would be joining Mr. Knight on his business trip" her words made me pause for a moment, did I hear her right

"Excuse, Ms-"

"Ms. Gayle "

"Yes, Ms. Gayle, did you just say business trip"

"Yes Mrs. Knight, Mr. Knight got a call yesterday because there is a problem that needs Mr. Knight immediate attention at our hotel in Cannes. I'm sincerely sorry about your wedding but I have to say it's sweet of him to carry you along. I bet as soon as he gets this problem under wraps, you will have the honeymoon of your dreams"

"Oh yes, how thoughtful of him" my voice laced with sarcasm but she clearly didn't notice as she continues to talk about how it came as shock to her that Mr. Knight got married.

After a while, I got tired of her babbling, and Marcus was about to come out of the shower and I didn't want to lose the element of surprise.

"Anna I have to go now, but I'll make sure to talk to you soon and I'll make sure that Marcus gets the message"

"Oh thank you, Ms. Knight. I'm glad I got to talk to you, you're such a nice person, Mr. Knight is lucky to have you"

"He is lucky to have me, well I have to go, bye"

"Bye Mrs. Knight"

Five minutes after getting off the phone with Anna, Marcus decided to make his presence known. He walked into the walk-in closet to get dressed

"What are your plans for today," I asked, seeing if he would tell me or lie, but he did lie but let's see if he'll continue lying

"You know, sightseeing, relaxing, it's been a long time since I've taken a break "

"Oh really and that's all your gonna do today"

"Yes, why are you asking, do you want to do something else "

"Oh no, I just wondering if you forgot about your business meeting, that's very unprofessional " he instantly paled, I got him right where I want him

"Yeah I know " I smirked at him, I had the upper hand here and I knew just what to do with it.
