A Ride Home {COMPLETED}

Chapter 25

"Ponyboy."

I smiled and made my way over to her, grabbing her out stretched hand. He rested her head on my shoulder and looked over at the sunset.

"It's so beautiful," she whispered.

"Yeah, it is," I replied, looking at her.

"Cheeseball," she giggled and kissed my cheek.

"You love me."

"More than anything," she said, lifting her head and kissing me.

We turned back to the setting sun and I squeezed her hand. When the sun had set, we went for a walk to the park and back. We were making small talk about what not when we heard an engine.

"Do you have your blade?" I whispered to her.

She nodded slowly, pulling me closer to her and holding my hand a bit tighter.

Four socs stepped from the car and surrounded us. I could still someone in the car but I couldn't tell.

"Two grease love birds, how cute." the tall one growled, earning snickers from his friends.

"Grab the girl, hold the boy back," shouted a tall fat one, lunging at her, ripping her from me.

I was tackled to the ground as I watched them drag her away. I punched one in the face and managed to pull myself away and punch down the other one holding me down.

As I was standing, I saw that another soc had emerged from the car. A female. She had a hood on but she had a blade in her hand, walking towards my girl.

She was struggling against the two larger socs who held her in place. I couldn't move. The hooded soc removed their hood. She stabbed my girl in the arm and she let out a piercing scream. I sprinted to her but was cut off by another soc and held back. The soc removed the knife and pierced her chest.

"Pony," she gasped and collapsed to the ground.

The soc turned and I came face to face with Cherry Valance.

"Ponyboy!"
