Chapter 14

| Mel's POV |

His kiss was so gentle, but it was so passionate.

"I've been waiting to do that forever." He said as we placed our foreheads together.

"Me too." I smiled up and him and he pulled me into his arms.

"Will you be my girl?" He asked, nuzzling his face in my neck.

"Yes." I smiled and he hugged me tighter.

When we arrived back inside, everyone was staring at us. Silence overtook the house.

"So? What happened?" Two Bit yelled impatiently from the floor.

Pony and I looked at each other and smiled.

"THEY'RE FINALLY DATING!" Soda yelled, picking me up and spinning me around.

The whole gang was yelling and cheering. Johnny came to give me a hug when he whispered in my ear.

"Told you everything would work out." I pulled away and looked at him.

"You knew, didn't you?" I couldn't help but smile.

"Yeah." He said looking at his feet.

"MY LITTLE MELODY HAS A BOYFRIEND!" Two Bit was shouting.

I slapped his chest and he threw me over his shoulder and took me outside.

"Two! What are you doing?" I exclaimed.

"You two better stay together forever alright? And if he hurts you, I will not hesitate to hurt him." He said seriously, looking me in the eye.

"I promise, Two." I said as I hugged him.

"Also, Mel, what happened while you were at home today?" He asked, his voice dropping.

"I- I had a flashback of the night dad, raped me." I whispered the last part. I was still ashamed.

"Mel, I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you. I don't know why I was such a shit brother back then. But it seemed like when dad died, I realized how much you needed me and what I had been missing out on. And I'm so glad that I did because if you wouldn't gone through with the pills... I don't know what I would have done." Both of our eyes were watery.

He pulled me into his arms and I could feel his tears soaking my shirt.

"I promise I'll protect you from everything and anything."

"I love you, Two Bit." I whispered.

"I love you more, Mel."

Sorry this is shorter, I just wanted to get the parts of her past in there and the whole Mel/Pony ship❤️

So if you didn't understand it completely, When Mel & Two's dad was alive, Two Bit didn't like Mel and never treated her right and basically called her a disgrace to the family. When she was 10, he was babysitting her and he wanted to go hang with the gang (lol that rhymed) so he had to bring her. Hence, her meeting the group.

BUT. When their dad died when Mel was 13, and Two was 16, he realized that Mel was depressed and she almost committed suicide. He then stepped it up as a brother and he brought her out of her depression.

Pony and Johnny both knew why she was depressed and tried to tell Two Bit multiple times but he wouldn't listen and stuff. :(

And he also then found out about the rape and the abuse the dad gave Mel.

So that's the back story.

Hopefully 1 or 2 more chapters today :)
