Tina Minoru was frantically packing her oldest daughter's bag.
"Mom?" Hana called out, "Please, stop..."
"I can't..." Tina looks at Hana, "you have to leave. Please, Hana!"
Hana sat on her bed, "No, tell me what the hell is going on?!"
Tina sighs, "When the time is right, I promise." Tina puts her hands on her daughter's hand. "But right now, I just need you to trust me..."
Hana saw a glimpse of tear that slithered down her mother's cheek, "Can I at least say goodbye to Amy and Nico?"
Tina nods. This is the hardest thing she'd ever done and the hurt in her daughter's eyes made it a million times worst. But what can she do, Leslie was devoted to Jonah and Jonah needed the 17 year old sacrifice. Hana just turned 17...
"Ready to go?" Tina asked, at the door.
Hana nodded and walks towards her mother, as her father, Robert, loaded up her things into the car.
"It's gonna be okay." Robert reassures his daughter. "You'll love Tokyo University..."
That was nine years ago, Hana was on a plane to LAX. She'd missed her own sister's funeral, all because of her fear of Pride.
