When I first transferred to Ravier University, my Mom informed me that she and my Dad had agreed to arrange a marriage for me. Initially, I had no idea who the girl was, but when I saw a woman who fit my Mom's description of the "almost-perfect girl," I instantly knew it was her. She turned out to be my classmate, and I couldn't take my eyes off her.

Upon entering, my parents engaged in small talk with my future-fiancée's parents as we awaited her arrival. As anticipated, upon her return, confusion flashed in her eyes, her furrowed eyebrows betraying her awareness of our planned meeting. It was evident she was wondering, 'what-the-heck-is-that-nerd-doing-here.'
Her eyes widened as she discovered that I would be her fiancé. She threw a minor tantrum, and to provoke her further, I smirked as she stormed upstairs.
"Sorry for her behavior," her mother apologized.
"It's alright. It's understandable," sagot ni Dad.
Natural lang naman talagang magalit kung nerd ang ipapakasal sa maganda nilang anak. Hindi ba nila naisip iyon? Dapat inisip muna nila ang magiging reaksyon ng anak nila before making a decision. The fact that she has a boyfriend, talagang magagalit siya. Kulang na nga lang ay sumpain na niya ako kanina gamit ang mga titig niya.
Agad akong bumaba ng sasakyan nang makauwi at tinanggal ang malaki kong salamin sa mata.
"Mom, don't you think it was wrong? She has a boyfriend, and I don't want them to break up because of this arrangement."
