It was a fight to get the makeup over the bruise. First off, he acted like the primer was acid and would pull away whenever she got close. Secondly, she was a little rough when it came to blending and she could've sworn she saw tears at one point. Thirdly, the bruise kept peeking through and she had to keep caking on enough to cover but still kept in natural looking. She leaned back and eyed his jaw. It looked natural enough.
"All done." she said and he nearly cried tears of joy.
"Oh it wasn't that bad." she scolded and Jordan snorted.
"You're not the one with the giant bruise." She gave him a pointed look.
"I also wasn't the one who started a fight with Nicholls." she retorted.
"But you weren't there. You don't know what went on." She packed her makeup back into her bag, mentally preparing for Nicholls reaction to makeup.
"And let's keep it that way for your sake." She walked out of Jordan's dressing room and towards the one Nicholls was in. She didn't bother knocking and just walked in. He looked up from his phone and she grimaced at the sickening bruise that spread across his nose.
"Ouch." she mumbled and placed her makeup bag on the counter.
"Come on. I had enough with Jordan so I'm not here to argue." Nicholls wordlessly did as he was told and she became worried. Usually he would make a comment or argue. She looked over at him as she prepared to put primer over the bruise.
"You ok, Nicholls? You're a little quiet." He shrugged and stayed quiet throughout the whole coverage process.
"Done." she announced and he simply nodded while stalking off towards the couch. Interesting. She sped down the hall and barged into Oliver's room. He quickly turned around, wide eyed and confused with a bagel in hand. She gave him a look.
"You have a concert to perform in ten minutes. Do you really think eating a bagel is a good idea?" He shrugged and continued to eat the bagel.
"What's so important that you almost took the door with you?" Her eyes lit up. She had forgotten what she needed to talk to him about.
"Something's off with Nicholls." Oliver laughed and nodded.
"Yeah somethings definitely off with that lad." Evelyn shook her head and he gave her a confused look.
"No, like he's silent. He's not his usually joking self. He didn't even argue when I put makeup on him." Oliver's eyes widened and he took a deep breath.
"This is going to be a shite show." Evelyn nodded in agreement and checked the time.
"Five minutes till showtime. Go get 'em rock star." He chuckled and Evelyn slapped his butt as he walked out the door in front of her, causing a girly yelp to leave him. She walked beside him, laughing and gasping for air, as he stayed quiet and bright red.
"Be ready, Sawyer." he warned and she gulped.
