He spun her around as the door closed and the two dogs ran off to the living room. She had been in a dancing mood since they left the diner and he contributed by spinning her or dunking her whenever she'd grab his hand. Her energy was starting to rub off on him because they were now slow dancing in the living room while he softly sung Deathbeds to her.

"That little kiss you stole. It held my heart and soul. And like a deer in the headlights, I meet my fate. Don't try to fight the storm. You'll tumble overboard. Tides will bring me back to you." She giggled and rested her forehead on his shoulder, relishing in the way he swayed her back and forth. The color changing lights in her living room had been changed to a soft blue and her eyes shined a wicked cyan color whenever she would look up at him.

"Tides will bring me back to you." She smiled up at him once he sang the final verse of the song.

"This next song I dedicate to you, my love. It is called Fuck." Her face contorted into one of doubt and she stopped him before he could begin the song.

"That's where I'm going to stop you. One, the title sounds sketchy as fuck. Two, my younger cousin would listen to your band and that song was a definite nope from me." He threw his head back and laughed while still swaying their bodies from side to side.

"Ok then I'll dedicate Don't Go to you." She still felt iffy but the title of the song sounded pretty interesting so she nodded for him to continue. He took a deep breath and sang the song softly. She watched in amazement as so many emotions flashed through his eyes. It's like fear and love were at war behind his desperate hazel eyes.

"Save me from the ones that haunt me in the night. I can't live with myself, so stay with me tonight. Don't go." he breathed out and a single tear rolled down her face. Then another. And a few more. Then a hand full more. Soon she was sobbing yet she never broke his gaze. His expression softened and he wiped under her eyes with the pads of his thumbs.

"Don't cry, love." She pulled him into a tight embrace and began mumbling to herself.

"The song's so sad, Oli. And oh my God, the look in your eyes. So much pain and sorrow. I hate that song. Sing it again." He chuckled and ran a hand up and down her back.

"It's ok, love. Everything's alright now." She pulled away and looked up at him, face still red and tear streaked.

"What is it about? What does it represent? Common Sykes you can't make me cry with a song and not explain the past." He pulled her with him down onto the couch and he took a few seconds to gather what he was going to say before spewing out things.

"Back in 2004, there was a murder in Sheffield. Four teens had gone out on a camping trip, only three came back. The unlucky one was kicked, stamped on, suffocated, and stabbed sixty times with a scythe. The three had murdered the forth with intentions that were unknown. That's where the beginning comes in at. The part about demons in meaning the guilt and grieving progress. Demons come back to haunt you and remind you of what you've done. The more melodic part which is sung by a woman who goes by the name Lights. Her part is talking about them telling their story. If I let you in, you'd just want out. If I tell you the truth, you'd vie for a lie. If I spilt my guts, it would make a mess we can't clean up. And so on and so forth. The song has nothing to do with me like others think but it's a good conversation starter and regardless of the actual meaning, many people turn the song into a way of telling the people in their life just how much they need them there." She nodded and averted her gaze towards the two dogs who were sleeping against the stone electric fireplace.

"And I mean, I guess in some aspects it can be interpreted as a love song." he added and scratched the back of his neck. She snorted and nodded.

"Tell me that you need me 'cause I love you so much." she quoted and he chuckled.

"Say you'll never leave me 'cause I need you so much." he finished and the room went silent. The only sound was Luna's snores and Evelyn's soft sniffling fits as she willed her body to calm down.

"How about a more upbeat song? I'll give you three options and you get to pick." She nodded and looked at him curiously.

"Blasphemy, King For a Day, or Bad Girls Club?" She blinked and completely zoned out.

"I already know Bad Girls Club. Ronnie is bae." she whispered the last part while putting a hand over her heart and closing her eyes. She reopened her eyes and grinned at Oliver's unamused expression.

"Remind me to never let you two meet during warped. You're too much alike." She cleared her throat and straightened her posture.

"I know King For a Day is Pierce the Veil. Vic and Kellin are also bae. So that leaves Blasphemy." she concluded and Oliver raised an eyebrow.

"How the bloody hell did you know every other band but ours?" She raised her hand and got ready to defend herself.

"I mentioned my cousin listened to Bring Me The Horizon so in my defense I knew. I just didn't dig further than the band name." He rolled his eyes and prepared to sing the worst acoustic version yet of his own song.
