"Please get your cold feet off my back." he mumbled into the pillow and groaned when she moved her feet lower down his back.
"Evelyn." he whined through his tired state and he arched away from her when her foot dipped into the waistband of his jogging pants. A giggle followed and he rolled over, wrapping his arms around her small figure.
"Can I sleep or is that too much to ask?" She stared at his tired expression and pressed her lips to his forehead.
"I'm sorry, Oli. It's just the cocaine they put in the Coca Cola finally kicking in." He lazily pulled away from her and he looked almost cute in his confused state.
"The what?" Her giggles concerned him further and caused him to become conscious of his surroundings. Conscious of his arms still wound around her waist. Conscious of the body heat that was becoming really hot between them. Conscious of her knee pressed against his inner thigh. Conscious of the hormones shooting through his body. He was thankful for the disruption of thought as she began to explain the history of Coca Cola.
"It was originally medicine that contained a shit ton of cocaine." Now he was interested and gave her his full attention.
"Medicine?" She nodded eagerly.
"So says it was a brain tonic that could cure all nervous affects. Sinus headaches, neuralgia, hysteria, melancholy. The list goes on." He hummed and studied her features as best he could in the dark of the room. No matter how dark the room was, those damn green eyes still stayed vividly green.
"What are you thinking of Sykes?" He smiled and titled his head.
"How are your eyes that green?" She groaned and buried her face into her pillow.
"Like I told Nicholls, it's genetics." She stilled for a while before popping back up again.
"I'm finally tired." He gave her an amused look and loosened his hold on her waist as she began to move around to get comfortable. She stilled once more and he placed a kiss to the back of her head before falling asleep.
