He stretched out and instantly recoiled when his fingertips brushed against the cold fabric next to him. He lifted himself onto his elbows and he looked at the dog that was curled up between his legs near his knees. A groan left him as he fell back onto the mattress and an amused chuckle brought his attention to the doorway of the room. Evelyn was leaning against the doorframe in one of his shirts he had left here a while back.

"Good morning, Oli." she greeted and he smirked as his fingertips absentmindedly traced up and down his stomach while his other hand rested behind his head.

"I'd say it's a rather great morning, love. Would be even better if that shirt was subtracted from this equation." She grinned and moved towards him at a lazy pace. Once next to him, she bent down and connected their lips. He pulled away and gave her a confused look.

"Did you eat anything?" She nodded and tried her best not to start laughing.

"Turkey bacon." His eyes widened and she pranced out of his reach while he threw profanities after her. She ran down the hall with Oskar close behind her. The dog yipped and tailed it into the living room while she ran into the laundry room attached to the kitchen. Oliver's rushed footsteps didn't take long to find her as she watched the locked door handle move. He cursed once he realized she had locked the door and she stifled a laugh. That laugh vanished when the click of a lock echoed between them and she stared wide eyed at the door that creeped open. Oliver's head peeked around from behind the door with an evil grin and he pounced on her. She squealed as he hoisted her over his shoulder. He relished over the way she laughed and squirmed around on his shoulder to try and get free. A full blown smile replaced the smirk and he dropped her down onto the counter, quickly positioning himself between her legs and wrapping his arms around her waist. She leaned away from him as he began to pepper kisses all over her face.

"Ew! Cooties!" she screeched and he stopped his attack to laugh. His eyes stared at her with so much adoration and love that her laughter caught in her throat and all she could do is stare back in amazement. A loving smile pulled at his lips and he stood there, admiring the woman in front of him. The whole thing was new to him. He never got to wake up next to Alissa in the mornings since she was gone before him. He never got to wake up to the smell of breakfast in the morning because Alissa made only what she needed and left him to fend for himself. He never got to act like a child or loving couple because Alissa was always so dull and serious about her views about what a couple should look like. He never got to eat dinner together, watch movies, appreciate beauty in its natural form, or feel the way his heart raced and yearned to just touch another person. His hands slid across her smooth thighs and over her clothed torso until they were cupping her face.

"Thank you." he whispered and closed the gap between them. She reacted instantly to his kiss and gave him just the reaction he needed. Her lips parted automatically and his tongue explored its new found territory. Truth be told, he was new to this style of kissing. Alissa was never one for much affection and usually only pecked his lips. Sure he dated women before Alissa and even his first wife let him go further than what he was used to but that seemed like ages ago. Now he was basking in the feel of her tongue dancing around his. She ended the kiss and turned to look at the food she had set out for them.

"The food's getting cold." she blurted out and he chuckled.

"Then let's eat, love." He helped her off the counter and they both walked over to the table. She had made him chocolate chip pancakes and a hash brown while her plate was filled with bacon and eggs. She had never questioned his choice on living the vegan lifestyle so he never questioned her choice on eating animals. So he instead opted to staring horrified at the poor use-to-be animal that they slaughtered to make the food. She rolled her eyes and waved the piece of bacon in front of his face.

"Disgusting, love. You're brushing your teeth before coming anywhere near me." For his sake, she quickly finished her breakfast and cleaned up any evidence of her breakfast. He watched her scurry off towards the hall bathroom and he chuckled. Animal products didn't bother him but it was so much fun to mess with her. She came dancing down the hall and he watched as she climbed on the coffee table and began to twerk with just her back.

"You Americans are weird." he pointed out and she stopped, turned to look at him with wide eyes, and jumped spread eagle off of the coffee table, almost face planting. How the hell did he ever find this masterpiece, he may never know. He did know for a fact that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her by his side.
