"Evelyn!" She groaned. The guys had just gotten done playing a two hour show and their exhaustion rubbed off on her. All she wanted to do was sleep yet here she was about to agree with whatever Vic was about to propose. She turned with a smile and gave him a look, hoping he'd catch on that she was not in the mood for errand running.
"I was going to ask if you'd like to get a drink with me but it looks like you need ecstasy more than tequila." he said while eyeing her with caution. He may not know the new Evelyn but he sure knows the old one and she was a force to be reckoned with when she was tired.
"Thanks for enabling me, Vic." He grins and shrugs. "Only because I'm one hundred percent certain you wouldn't." She chuckled and they began to walk side by side towards a random bar in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.
"After you." he said and held the door to the bar open for her. She shook her head and walked in first. The place wasn't too busy. Only a few people who looked like regulars from what she could tell. They walked up to the bar and sat on top of the bar stools.
"Fireball." Vic told the bartender and the bartender got to work pouring the shot of whiskey. Evelyn chuckled and looked up at the menu of different types of alcohol that hung overhead.
"Mudslide. To go." she answered, finally deciding out of Mudslide or Blue Hawaiian.
"Fancy." Vic commented and she kicked him under the bar. He downed the shot and grimaced at the familiar burn. He waved for the bartender to fill another shot as Evelyn sipped the chocolatey mixed drink. She watched as Vic down the shot more easily this time.
"Ok. I think it's officially time for a drink and then head back towards the venue before Oliver figures out you're missing." She chuckled and he told the bartender his order. She watched as the bartender made the red and white drink then lit it on fire.
"The fuck did you just order?" He grinned and grabbed his drink while motioning her to follow him.
"It's a Lava Flow. Rum based drink." She nodded and took another sip of her drink.
