He ran a hand through his hair and stared in awe at the stands . It was so short and soft. Even short, his hair still managed to be wavy. Evelyn popped up behind him in the mirror and ran a hand through his short hair, messing with one of the really wavy locks near the back.

"I was right. You look hot." She almost looked proud of herself.

"I can't believe you talked me into going blonde." She gave him a smug smile and bent over his shoulder to peck his cheek.

"Blonde doesn't last that long. You'll be back to brunette by the end of tour." Oliver stood from the barber chair and followed Evelyn to the front counter while he fished out his wallet. He handed the woman his credit card and laughed amusingly to himself.

"This is the last time I'm letting you make my decisions." He pocketed his card and left the shop with her close behind.

"You'll thank me later." They both walked off in the direction of Jordan's house. The band hadn't been able to hang out lately since the start of the new album and since they completely finished it and settled on a release date, Nicholls proposed a party at Jordan's house. Jordan refused and the guys sent in Evelyn. They had never seen Jordan say yes as fast as he did for anything.

"So are you coming on tour?" He was nervous she would say 'no' and they'd be stuck finding a tour manager last minute.

"Sure. I actually just found out I graduate the week before we leave anyways." He nodded and just let himself into Jordan's house. Lee peeked around the corner and cheered once he saw Evelyn but froze once he saw Oliver.

"Don't even ask." Evelyn giggles and stood on her tippy toes to ruffle Oliver's hair before running off to find Jordan's wife who was actually really good friends with Evelyn.

"Mate, the fock happened to your hair?" Oliver sighed and glared at the kitchen.

"Evelyn is what happened. Never let your girlfriend pick your haircut. At first it was just going to be a trim. Then it was a few inches. Now, it's shave it short and bleach it. The damn barber told me it was conditioner. Not focking toner to make my hair blonde." Nicholls came around the corner but instantly disappeared as his howls of laughter echoes through the house.

"For fock sake." Oliver cursed and walked towards the living room. He'd rather explain it all at once than four individual times.

"What the fock happened to you?" Nicholls asked between his fits of laughter. The other two on the couch gave him a curious look as well. Jordan looked amused while Kean looked unsure.

"Evelyn took me to get a trim. This is what I walk out with. This is what you're stuck with for all of tour." Jordan shrugged and went back to watching whatever was on TV.

"Well you're not the only one changing hairstyles. Have you seen Kellin's new post on Instagram?" Oliver shook his head and sat next to Lee on the opposite couch. Lee showed him the post and Kellin had bleached his hair as well.

"Same thing with Ronnie too. It's like you all had some kind of epiphany and decided blonde." Kean added and Oliver took the bottle of beer from Nicholls.

"I didn't decide shit. The she devil in the kitchen did." He took a sip of the beer and almost spit it out when he got an answer.

"I fucking heard that!" The guys laughed while Oliver blushed red.

"Ah! Speak of the devil and she shall appear." Jordan joked with a smile as Evelyn and Emma emerged from the kitchen, mixed drinks in hand. Emma sat on the arm of the couch near Jordan while Evelyn cozied herself onto Oliver's lap.

"Truly Satan in disguise." Jordan joked and Evelyn raised an eyebrow over the rim of her cup.

"Anyways." Nicholls said, breaking the awkward tension growing in the room.

"Heard you're going to be our tour manager." Evelyn nodded and placed her drink down on a cup holster.

"Yep. Three whole months stuck on a bus with you. I'm ecstatic." Her voice lacked any sign of enthusiasm and Nicholls chuckled.

"I like her, Oliver. Don't fock this one up, mate." Oliver rolled his eyes and wrapped an arm around her waist.

"Noted." he mumbled. The room went silent except for the show playing on TV and the two Matts' occasional laughter.

"I never cared for this show." Evelyn spoke up and Lee narrowed his eyes.

"You want to fight, mate?" Evelyn looked in his direction and a grin spread across her face.

"Square up bitch." Lee laughed and Evelyn soon followed. Oliver was quite thankful that her and the guys clicked. It took Alissa a whole month and some heavy convincing for her to even consider them as human beings. She never agreed to go with him to get-togethers with the band and small playful fights turned into real fights when she was involved. Oliver eventually quit hanging out with the band except for tour and recording sessions. And the fact that Evelyn not only got along with the two more open of the four, but also the two more reserved, was relieving. Evelyn's phone began to ring and she got up to take the call elsewhere that didn't involve five grown men yelling at a TV.

"How the fock are you going to call that a ball?! That's a focking strike, mate!" Evelyn scurried down the hall and out the back door. The glass door clicked close behind her as she answered the phone.

"Hi mom."

"Evelyn! How's England, sweetie?"

Evelyn chuckled and rolled her eyes, letting them stare up at the cloudy sky. It was supposed to rain all week.

"It's great."

"I can tell. You've picked up quite the accent."

"But never the slang."

They both chuckled and Evelyn bit her lip.

"I met someone. Dad won't approve at first but you'd love him, mom."

"I bet. What's the poor unfortunate bastard's name?"

"Oliver. Oliver Sykes. Look him up on Google."

There was a moment of silence before her mom spoke again.

"He's cute but, Evelyn, your father's going to flip."

"I know his appearance is a bit questionable but he's a big sweetheart. If the appearance throws him off, then Oli's manners will reel him back in."

"Hmm. Well I got to go. Your sister's at the door with Miles. Bye. I love you."

"Bye mom. I love you too."

The call ended and she took a deep breath before waltzing back in. All eyes were glued to the TV, disappointed expressions not wavering as one of the teams got a home run.

"This is bullshite." Kean mumbled and stalked off into the kitchen. Oliver turned his head and waved Evelyn over. She sat back down on his lap and he exhaled deeply as his arms secured themselves around her waist. She leaned her head back and lightly blew air onto Oliver's neck. Goosebumps instantly raised and he shivered against her, a small gasp for only her to hear left him.

"I'm going home to study and pack. Don't be out too late." she whispered into his ear and stood up.

"Bye guys." she announced and the guys mumbled their departure while Emma got up to lead her out the house.

"What did you do to him?" she asked and Evelyn gave her a questioning look.

"Oliver. He looked like he saw a ghost." Evelyn smiled and leaned back against the large pillar that held up the front portion of the roof.

"His neck is very sensitive to touch." Emma gave her a look and chuckled.

"Oh it's not going to be good for you once he gets home." Evelyn shrugged and smiled as she bounded down the stone stairs of Jordan's house.

"Bye, Em."
