He stood at the foot of the stone steps leading up to his house and stared at the door for a good five minutes. He didn't know what to do or expect. Should he have told them at the same time? Should he ease in or rip off the bandaid? Should he just tell Alissa to pack her shit and not tell anything to Evelyn? He had no idea how he was going to execute this plan. With a deep breath, he pushed the door open and took his shoes off at the door.

"Alissa?" he called out and he could hear footsteps thumping down the stairs.

"You cheating bastard!" His head snapped towards the right and he was too shocked to comprehend her words. The sting made his eyes water as he gave his wife a confused look.

"Who the fuck is Evelyn?" she questioned and his eyes widened. Well this was one way to tell her about his affairs.

"Where did you hear that name from?" She scoffed and pushed passed him and into the living room where most of her bags had been packed.

"When I married you, Oliver, I vowed for honesty. Now give me honesty and tell me who this bitch is." Oliver sighed and just went for ripping off the bandaid.

"She was a drunken mistake that I, at first, thought was just going to be another one night stand. I was going to tell you about what I had done once back from tour but something about her stopped me from doing so. It was me who had reached out to her first. I love you Alissa, I really do. But she feels different. She feels like home. At the end of the day I know she's going to be there waiting and not in front of a camera for others to gawk at. I know she genuinely wants to know about how my day went. And I know she actually can help me through my sleep paralysis instead of shoving a pill into my mouth like a starved child wanting food instead of a damn pacifier." he snapped and she took a step back.

"Our marriage wasn't a mistake Alissa. I married you for love but now? I don't feel love anymore. Our marriage is just one sided, love." Alissa nodded and wiped the tears that had started to fall.

"Does she treat you well?" she asked softly and his heart broke. Yet another marriage had been thrown down the drain.

"Yes." Alissa nodded and turned away.

"Then go to her, Oliver. They say third time's the charm. Don't fuck this one up too." Oliver nodded and opened his arms out for one last embrace and she threw herself into his arms.

"I'm sorry Alissa." he apologized and she choked back a sob.

"I should've confronted you ages ago but I written it off as stress. Just settle down for good, Oliver. For me." He nodded and she slid from his embrace to pick up her bags. He silently grabbed what she couldn't and followed her out to her car. They loaded what they could into the trunk before packing a few into the back seat.

"I'll contact you about signing divorce papers sometime next week. And take care of Luna and Oskar for me." He gulped and gave a curt nod as Alissa turned away and ducked into the car. He stood still as the engine of the silver Shelby Mustang roared to life and he watched two years of hell and back drive away. Only then did he allow the tears to fall and fall they did. The house shook with the force he used to slam the door. He brought this upon himself but he couldn't help but place all the blame on Evelyn for coming into his life and turning it completely around. Every picture, whether it belonged to him or not, was ripped from the walls and thrown out the back door until every picture of Alissa in the house was gone. His hands searched through the kitchen drawers, practically ripping them from the tracks they sat in as he searched for the matches. Relief filled him once he found the red matchbox. He walked hastily while fiddling to get a match from the box. The match ran against the side of the box and Oliver raised the small flame to his face, mesmerized by the heat the small flame gave off, then flicked it into the pile of pictures. The tiny flame ignited the colored paper and spread like wildfire around the pile. It would rain soon so no need to sit around and monitor the fire. He had another problem to take care of. He had to explain the situation to Evelyn and all while trying to hold in his emotions and convince her to stay.
