Chapter 13

I made sure Jay got his meds, so he was able to get some rest before I left his room. They were leaving for New York tonight once I walked out into the hall T'Challa was standing next to the door

"Are you stalking me now?" I asked with an eye rolled as I walked pass him

"How is your uncle?"

"He's looking at some form of paralysis, I'm waiting to hear back from colleague in New York to see if he will take the case."

"How are you doing?" He asked and I stopped and turned to face him

"What do you want?" I asked and he raised an eyebrow

"Last time I checked you attacked me, so shouldn't I be mad at you?" He asked with a smirk I shook my head

"I thought you were, you shouldn't have trusted me remember?"

"I was wrong I know that now I almost killed an innocent man."

"More like the wrong man, Barnes is hardly innocent. When do you leave with Zemo?" I asked they captured him sometime last night

"I turned him over to the C.I.A., I'm done with the need for vengeance. My father is at rest and now I need to go take care of my people." He said and I nodded

"You are going to be a great king; your father would be proud of you."

"I have talked to Ross on your behalf."

"Please just stop I don't need your help."

"I want to help."

"But knowing Ross the way I do I'm sure he told you no."

"He did which is why I'm offering you refuge in Wakanda." He said and I laughed but then I saw his face

"You're serious?"

"Yes, and you can bring your family you all will be safe there."

"No, I can't, and the treatment James needs is in New York there's nothing for us in Wakanda."

"What if I told you we could heal him completely Wakanda?"

"I would say you are trying to convince me to come by any means necessary." I said and he took my hands and I looked into his eyes they looked honest but then again, he could just be a good actor.

"We have many resources."

"Not enough for this, besides Tony is taking care of everything and..." I stopped and I looked at him

"Does this have something to do with the vibranium in your suit?"

"Yes, if you let me, we can have him walking again."

"T'Challa- "I started but that bald women came from nowhere and stood in between us

"Back away before I hurt you."

"We were just talking what is your problem now?" I snapped at her

"You tried to kill him,"

'I tried to help him, more than you did."

"Ayo stand down."

"The business of our people is none of your concern," She snapped back, and he pushed her behind him standing in between us, I felt my anger grow but I decided to just walk away

"You have a nice trip home, I'm sorry again for about your father."

"Ayesha." I heard him called but I just kept walking I was not going down this road again my heart is closed

"Are you warm enough?" I asked covering my Uncle with another blanket

"I'm fine baby girl."

"Are you in any pain? We can get you something before we get you on the plane." I told him

"No, I'm fine."

"Ok good I have to help Nat and Tony tie up a few loose ends here then I'll be there." I told him

"Did you hear back from Strange?" He asked and I shook my head

"I talked to his office assistant he said he will get back to me by tonight. Don't worry we're going to get you back on your feet no matter what." I told him with a smile then I kissed his forehead

"I love you." I told him

"I love you too be safe."

"Always." I said and they took him onto the plane

"I want you to come straight home once you're done here." Pops said coming to stand next to me

"I know I will be there tomorrow night."

"We'll work this out I won't let Ross run you over." He said hugging me tight

"I know I'm not worried. I love you." I said hugging him just as tight

"I love you." I said

"I love you too," he said then we pulled away

"You look like your grandmother with your hair like that." He said I ran a hand through my white hair. I was normally able to change the color and keep it brown but once I use a lot of power it takes a few days for me to regain control

"It's too noticeable." I said giving my same excuse

"It's a part of who you are remember that." He said walking onto the plane, I watched at the plane started up then my phone started buzzing, I pulled it out my pocket it was an unknown number

"The roof in ten." Steve's voice come through the phone

"See you then." I said then hung up and smashed the phone
