It was Saturday around 6 p.m. You were just finishing packing your stuff for hogwarts. You started your first day tomorrow and you were beyond excited. You we're in year 5 which meant you were 16 years old. You had to transfer to Hogwart because your family moved from America to London. You had lived in London before so you already had a English accent.

"y/n!" You hear booming from downstairs.

"Yes?" You shout back waiting for a response, but there was none. You get off your bed and head downstairs to your dad. You never knew if he was going to be in a good mood or not. Ever since your mom died it was kind of like she took a piece with him, the emotion piece, the piece that loved you. You were on the last step and you brought your eyes to his.

"Yes Sir?" You ask softly.
He muttered something and finally said,

"Are you excited for tomorrow?" Your nerves calmed down along with your heart rate, he was in a good mood.

"Yes Sir." You reply back.
He looks at you for a second before continuing,

"Are you finished packing?"  You hesitate and say,

"No Sir, but i'm finishing right now." You didn't want to make him more mad so you made sure to speak softly and very cautiously. He didn't say anything but he nodded so you headed back upstairs to finish packing. After you finished packing you went to your owl, y/o/n, and fed him some of his favorite food. To which he nuzzled next to you as a thank you. You start thinking about the new school and start getting really overwhelmed. Are they going to like me? Am I going to have any friends? Your thoughts continued with you through the night as you got barely any sleep at all.

The next morning you got up at 8am to get ready before leaving for the train. Your dad drives you to the train station as you sit in the passenger seat, extremely nervous. You guys pull up to the station, your dad getting out of the car first, you take a deep breath and head out after him. He helped you with your bags and walked with you to the train. When you got there you didn't know whether or not to hug him or just wave goodbye until he pulled you into a hug. Your eyes start to water as you can't remember the last time your dad gave you a hug. After a couple of minutes he pulls away, kissing the top of your head.

"I love you y/n" he says, you look up at him and say,

"I love you too dad" he smiles and says

"Now go on! You don't want to miss the train!" You smile and grab your bags heading for the train.

You get on and find an empty compartment at the back, you put your bags up at the top and sit down in the booth area. You wonder what house you will be put into, maybe ravenclaw? Oh or maybe Hufflepuff! You heard great things about all of them. The one you heard the least about was Slytherin, you hoped you didn't get put in there.
(I'm a Slytherin, no hate!)

After 5 minutes of sitting on the train alone there was a girl who came up to you, she spoke softly and kindly,

"Excuse me, is this seat taken?"
You look up at her and smile,

"No" You reply and she mirrors your smile and sits down.

"I'm Hermione Granger" She stuck her hand at you, you shook it and replied,

"I'm y/n y/l/n" She smiled again and continued,

"What house are you in? I'm Gryffindor" You get nervous and say,

"I'm new here, so I don't know yet" her eyes lit up and said,

"Oh are you the transfer everybodys talking about?" You nod your head and are about to say something when 2 boys knock on the compartment door.

You both look up at them and Hermione rolls her eyes and says, "Do you mind if they sit here?" you reply with,

"Not at all" She opens the door for them and says sharply,

"What took you so long?" the boy with round glasses replied,

"Well you sat all the way in the back!" You laughed along with Hermione and they brought their attention to you. You get nervous when you see everyones looking at you and stutter,

"H-hi, I'm y/n y/l/n" They put out there hands and shake it replying,

"I'm Harry Potter and this is Ron Weasly" The redhead who is named Ron smiled a cheesy smile at you making you mirror his. They sit down and you guys talk for a little while until Ron looks at you saying,

"So y/n what house are you in" You're about to answer when Hermione answers for you, which you don't mind.

"She's the new transfer so we don't know yet"

"Ohhh" They both go and you ask,
"What houses are you guys in?" they both reply with Gryffindor which makes you really want to be in Gryffindor. You all talk for the rest of the trip until you guys get to Hogwarts. You look out the window at the huge school and your jaw drops.

"It's beautiful!" You express, the other three agreeing with you.

"You're going to love it here!" Harry smiles at you and you return it. You guys all grab your bags and walk out of the train station.

You're walking towards your new friends as you round the corner, suddenly bumping into someone, causing you to fall to the ground.
