"Cissie..." A soft, weak, fragile voice caught Cissie's attention, who immediately turned around.

"Jack...?" Cissie gasped as she looked to the bed.

"S-Sweetie..." Jack breathed weakly, as Cissie notice his hand slowly moving.

"Jack!" Cissie yelled as she ran to him, sitting on the bed, her eyes immediately welled up as she placed her hands on his cheeks. "Jackie..." She whimpered, as she started to sob. She heard his voice, but as she observed him now, she noticed that Jack still looked the same as he had his eyes closed. "Baby... Please open your eyes for me..." She pleaded.

"H-Hey..." Jack whispered, as he slowly opened his eyes, his brown eyes greeting her.

"Jackie..." Cissie sobbed out. "My baby..."

"Hey, you..." Jack said softly as his arm slowly reached up and cradled her cheek.

"I-I thought I-I lost you..." Cissie started to wail as she leaned her forehead against his.

"I-I thought you had too..." Jack admitted. "B-But I'm here now..."

"I felt so lost without you..." Cissie cried harder.

"I'm sorry..." Jack comforted her. "Lie down with me..." He requested as Cissie lied down on the bed with him. "I love you..."

"I love you so much..." Cissie sniffled as she caressed Jack's cheek. "P-Please don't do that to me ever again..."

"I had to protect you..." Jack reasoned. "If I didn't push you... we would've both died."

"Mmmmnn..." Cissie whimpered as she buried her face on Jack's chest.

"Thank you for finding me..." Jack raised her head, as he slowly leaned in to give his wife a passionate kiss to her lips. "It's okay, sweetie... I'm here..." He slowly groaned as he tried to hug her as tightly as possible.

"You okay?" Cissie asked, worryingly.

"My body's running on very low steam, from recuperating in freezing temps." Jack slowly explained. "I-I have to keep sleeping..."

"Then sleep..." Cissie said softly.

"And don't worry if you find out I barely have any pulse... it's normal..." Jack yawned out.

"K-Kay..." Cissie nodded hesitantly.

"Sleep with me, sweetie..." Jack requested.

"Of course..." Cissie smiled, as she snuggled herself on him, her face resting on Jack's shoulder. "Oh, I have to text Dami and Jon."

"Do it later..." Jack requested.

"They told me-"

"Please...?" Jack pleaded.

"Fine... you win." Cissie chuckled. Jack slowly turned his body as he hugged his wife. Cissie melted as she buried her face on Jack's shoulder, as she caressed his scarred back. Jack immediately fell asleep, while Cissie closed her eyes, relieved of her husband's recovery as she also eventually fell asleep.

An hour later...

Cissie eventually woke up again, as she looked at Jack's peaceful face as he slept. She looked down as she observed the slow rising and falling of his chest, as he breathed. She smiled softly as she started to caress his cheek. So soft... She thought to herself, as she chuckled. At that moment, She suddenly remembered something as she immediately grabbed her phone from her pocket, and started to text.

"He's awake." She simply texted to both Damian and Jon. She then laid a kiss to her husband's forehead, smiling as she gave another.

"Mmmnn..." Jack cooed, snuggling himself further on Cissie, resting his cheek on her shoulder.
