Taeyong has finally arrived home.
He descended down his crossover parked right on the side and locked it. He strode over to the entrance across his bricked pathway, stopping midway just to take one good look at his house. It was a colonial-inspired two story house with a cute mini triangular roof that acted like an awning to the entrance. Either sides were the pillars supporting it. The walls mainly were painted a creamy white and with the bricked roofs a dark grey color.

The windows were looking fine.  He should keep in mind to do a spring cleaning maybe somewhere near Christmas. The inside of the house wasn't as dirty anyway.

19 children. Taeyong doubted that this seemingly spacious house can even hold just half of them. Although it is large in width, the amount of rooms weren't as limitless as those mansions in his neighborhood. It mainly contained a kitchen, bathroom, his room, office, anything a normal house would have.

Taeyong lived alone the past two years, so he didn't really think once of anyone staying with him.  Luckily, he happened to have one guest room just in case, he was about to turn that into his workspace, but at least he didn't really touch it.

Taeyong eventually entered, fumbling his pockets for the keys.

19..

19...

Taeyong had his forehead against the door. What did he just agreed to..

Maybe he should deny. Maybe.. Is this the right choice?  If he were to deny, he wouldn't need to burden himself with responsibilities and would live on a peaceful, lonely life..

Lonely.

Taeyong let a sigh escape his slightly dried lips. By now, he had his keys enter the mini keyhole just on the doorknob. He successfully opened and entered with no problem. Alas, he was greeted by the lovely foyer part of his house. With the staircase leading up to the second floor just by the side, a family couch of which surrounded the coffee table was on the far right, the wide glass screen leading to the backyard was at the very end, merely parallel to the main entrance. He looked down the vast shiny wooden flooring that stretched until the kitchen which was now on the other side of the house, seperated by another wall.

He took off his sneakers and placed them on the side by the mini platform.  "Aigoo.. Should I just refuse? It's my choice." Taeyong whispered as he walked to the kitchen. He still debated himself.

He stopped by the entrance to the kitchen. "No, these children need atleast somewhere to stay.. But there are other orphanages??"

Right. But Bo-Ah did mention about it being a hassle in bringing them all simultaneously and the fact some orphanages here aren't as trustworthy.

And the fact they already settled with a new orphanage that will take years for it to be done..
And registration.. And location.. And lawyers. He's sure they got them covered right? Taeyong shook his head and turned on his heel, making his way up the quarter turned staircase, holding the railings as he somehow ran to the second floor.

When he arrived upstairs, he strode to the guest room. It was a pretty normal one, but it was a tad bit wider than the bathroom in his room. There were at least two beds simply pressed against the walls creating a wide space on the middle. One of them was a trundle bed brand so it had an extra floor bed just at the bottom, the other was a single bed. So maybe atleast four children could be able to fit in here.

He looked to the brown cabinet on the other side which was by the window and opened it, revealing some extra mattresses. Good enough to fit in maybe eight?  The floor is pretty clean anyway.

He set down one mattress just by the cabinet and the other just below the first. Yes, so eight? He went over to the trundle bed and pulled the bottom one out. There was an extra space beside the bottom bed, Taeyong ended up putting the last mattress beside there. So ten.
