His words were cut off by a sudden scream upstairs.

Dali dali akong tumakbo papunta sa second floor kung saan ang kwarto namin ni Vero.

Fuck! Baka may nangyari ng masama sa anak ko.

Binuksan ko ang pinto at tumambad sa akin ang luhaang mukha ng anak ko. Dali dali akong lumapit sa kaniya at pinunasan ang luha sa kaniyang mukha gamit ang panyong nasa bulsa ng pantalon ko.

I hugged her and asked what happened.

She didn't answer so I told her that it's going to be fine.

"Vero... please tell Daddy what happened.." I asked her again and this time, she look at me straight in the eyes.

Tears started forming in the corner of her eyes again but she still manage to tell me what happen.

I saw her calmed her breathing and a few minutes later, she's not crying anymore. Thanks God!

I wiped her tears again and walk my way towards the closet where our clothes are placed. I pick a plain white t-shirt and go back to the bed where Vero is sitting.

Binihisan ko siya at inayos ang gulo gulo niyang buhok.

I can't help but stare at my daughter, the way she smile and giggles, it's the best view that I've seen in my entire life plus the kiss that she's been planting on my face.

"What happened to Vero?" Lolo asked the moment I descend to the living room.

"Dreams but she's sleeping now."

He sighed in relief, "by the way, ano nga po pala ang sasabihin niyo?"

His brows furrowed, "ano? Anong sasabihin?"

"Lolo, you were supposed to tell me something earlier but Vero happened." He didn't answered and looked at Freya whose sitting across him.

"Freya?" He said.

She nodded slowly without looking at me.

"Tell him now." Lolo's voice is full of authority and menace.

"I c-can't..."

"Yes, you can! Besides, kung hindi mo sasabihin, I am willing to spill it plus the fact that Helius will be very very mad at you. You choose."

Nagpabalik balik ang tingin ko sa dalawang taong nag uusap sa harap ko. They're talking as if I'm not here.
