I sighed and looked at my instant camera. Parting gift, ey? I shoved it into my side bag and walked to our usual meeting place. On the way, I bought little charms that I thought they would like.
Chisaki got a little crow keychain. I bought a silver 'K' for Kurono, that had little gold markings on as well. I bought a small bag of chocolate for the rest of the members. A candied apple was then bought for Eri.
After paying, I continued to the meeting place, where Kurono was waiting for me. Seeing the bag of items, he raised an eyebrow at me.
"What's that?"
"Oh, nothing. Just a little something for all of you."
"'All of you'?" He asked, as we walked over to Eri's room.
"Oh! Uh... I need to talk to Chi- I mean Overhaul." He chuckled and changed directions. Me and Kurono were kind of good friends now.
We always talked about random stuff while we walked to Eri's room. He also knew what I looked like so I didn't have to wear a mask around him. He was surprisingly nice after you get to know him. And rather loyal.
He knocked and opened the door to the office. Chisaki sat at the table and widened his eyes when he saw me. He covered it up with a glare and told Kurono to get out.
"What is it that you wanted to discuss?"
"A-Ah. Well you see... Uh... I bought you something!" I yelled, as I almost threw the keychain at him.
"You're buying gifts for me. That is not a good sign. What is happening (Y/n)?"
"Did you call me by my first name? That doesn't matter. Well... The thing is... I won't be able to come here anymore." I sighed and fiddled with my fingers. He glared at the floor.
"What do you mean?" He asked. His voice was stern and commanding. It sent a shiver down my spine.
"I applied to U. A. And I already have some friends who will probably get in. So... Even if I don't get in, someone I know will. And I can't risk you guys getting caught." I sighed.
"Get out."
"...what?"
"I said, get out."
"Chisaki, I don't understand. Wha-"
"GET OUT! JUST GET OUT!" He grabbed me by my shoulder and pushed me out. As soon as I was out of the doorway, he slammed the door shut. I stumbled and fell in the process but he didn't see that.
Kurono ran to my aid and gave me hand to lift me up. I was almost going to cry. I never dealt well with loud arguments. Always made me cry. Kurono looked at my sad state and patted my back.
"I'm sorry... I'm pathetic aren't I."
"No you're not. It's okay to feel threatened. Being brave isn't the lack of fear. It's overcoming that fear and still chasing what you want." He smiled at me and pulled me by my hands to Eri's room. "Wipe those tears, now. Wouldn't want Eri crying as well, right?"
I did as I was told and smiled at him. I cleared my throat and opened the door. As soon as she saw me, she ran and hugged my legs. I hugged her back and she grinned widely at me.
"Big sis! I've missed you! I wanna draw stuff! I have the exact thing in mind! We could draw a dog, and cats, and a lot of stuff! I love it when you're here. The others are kind of mean... but I like you best!"
I smiled as she ranted and squealed at me. We did our usual routine and activities. I opened my bag and took out the candied apple. She stared at it intently.
