Chapter 27: Dagur and Mala?

Astrid's POV

I was kissing Hiccup and he was kissing me back eagerly on the cliff. 

Hiccup: I love you Astrid Hofferson, I always have and I always will. 

Astrid: Hiccup Horrendus haddock, I love you too, I have since my mother died. 

Then, he leaned in and I did too. 

Heather: Look what the lovebirds are up to again!

I woke up with a start and saw heather standing in front of us. I parted apart from Hiccup and stood up.  

Astrid: Shut up! We got you and Fishlegs together and didn't joke about it. 

Heather: Okay. 

Astrid: thank you. 

I went to the water and washed my face to wake me up. 

Hiccup: Good morning. 

I looked back and saw Hiccup awake and shaking his arms and legs. 

Astrid: Good morning Hiccup. 

I remembered a few months ago, if anyone told me that Hiccup was alive and would be sleeping with me, I would ask them where is he and laugh at the sleeping part. Now, that became a reality. Not that I didn't  love it. 

Heather: Well, the others are looking for you and ...

Astrid: And what?

Hiccup put on his armor and ran to my side. I moved my body closer to his, so close that my shoulder was touching his pauldron. 

Heather: Are you sure you guys are just friends?

Astrid: yeah. 

Heather: Okay.

She was clearly unconvinced. We went down the dirt road and saw everyone eating breakfast. 

Mala: Where did you run off to girl!? We were worried you were mauled by a bear or slain by some other creature, what you did was very risky, do you know the dangers that lurk in this forest?

Astrid: I'm sorry, it's just that I was really annoyed and couldn't think straight.

H: I found her and calmed her down though. 

Tuffnut: How? By kissing her?

I glared at him and he cowered in fear. 

Fishlegs: Let's forget about it, come on H and Astrid, come join us for breakfast. 

We sat beside them and ate breakfast in silence. Mala and Dagur were acting like a couple, they had their arms around each other and were calling each other cute nicknames like Butterfly. Now, I see why people think me and H are together romantically. We were also like that.

Astrid: What's going on between Dagur and Mala?

Mala: We're getting married.

IN ONE DAY! 

Astrid: IN ONE DAY!

How I wish my relationship with Hiccup was like that.

Mala: We're meant for each other aren't we Butterfly. 

Dagur: Yeah Beard Tickles. 

H: What happened while w ... ... I mean I was sleeping?

Dagur: We fell in love and I passed the chief test and we got engaged. 

H: Wow.  I'm glad you finally found someone you love Dagur. 

Dagur: Yeah, and it seems that you have found yours too.
