Chapter 5

Then Adam starts asking about what other types of games that there could be, so (Y/n) starts to show him around the arcade of what games she knows. Dipper narrows his eyes at the two, so he goes to Mabel, wanting to get some answers about Adam. Mabel looks at Dipper "oh, hey Dip! What's up?" Dipper then asks "what's up with Adam?" Mabel smiles big. Her braces shining in the light as she says "look who's getting jealous~... but I met him sometime last week. I tried to ask if he wanted to go on a date as I showed him around the town, but he shut me down."

Dipper furrowed his eyebrows, not wanting to deal with Mabel's boy-crazy self at the moment "I mean, who could turn someone so sweet down??" Mabel asks sadly. Before she continued Dipper interjected saying "why is he hanging out with (Y/n)??" Mabel shrugged her shoulders. "Heck if I know, but he turned me down because he was waiting for this one specific girl to ask him. Said something like 'I wasn't that girl' or 'you're different than what I imagined'" Dipper's eyes widened. "Mabel, what if he's after (Y/n) to turn her?!" Dipper harshly whispered, again, Mabel shrugged her shoulders.

"It's a possibility" Mabel answered out, after a bit Adam tried searching for (Y/n), despite her being with Wendy camping. Then he remembered that the twins worked at The Mystery Shack, so he went there as he kept calling her name. Dipper tried to deal with him, but ended up with him scheduling a fight with the vampire boy. Everything else went as expected, Dipper summoned Rumble McSkirmish, Adam hid in the forest. Dipper ended up fighting Rumble since he told him that he lied, and ended up winning.

Adam was furious with Dipper, ready to punch him, but sighed as he drops his fist saying "you at least did the right thing, ya stupid-head." (Y/n) and Wendy came back from the camping trip, but Wendy decided to unpack as (Y/n) walked to where she heard the fight. "Hey guys, I heard some crazy screaming out here" (Y/n) said as she looks around, being curious. Dipper and Adam look at her saying "(Y/n)!" Dipper then says "you're back" (Y/n) smiles and nods. "Yeah- woah, what the heck happened here?? A big tornado or something?" (Y/n) asks confused.

Then Dipper and Adam started to stutter with trying to find an excuse, but (Y/n) took in Dipper's features "what happened to you!?" (Y/n) asks worried. "Wait, Adam... why are you so good looking-" "thank you for noticing-" "I wasn't finished." Adam flinched at (Y/n)'s tone, so she rolls her eyes as she stands by Dipper and pulls him away from Adam. "Why are you looking like you're fine, while Dipper's all hurt??" (Y/n) asks while glaring at Adam. The two finally realize what she's assuming, so Adam says "(Y/n), I-I swear, it's not what it looks like."

(Y/n) crossed her arms saying "yeah, right.. it doesn't look like you beat up one of my closest friends that I really care about. Go back home, I don't wanna hang out with someone who'd hurt my friend" then she looks at Dipper. "I'm sorry about him, Dipper... wanna hang out at The Mystery Shack??" (Y/n) apologizes softly. Dipper looks at (Y/n), then at Adam, he looks hurt, but Dipper says "yeah... that sounds really fun." With that the two talk about how stupid/fun the camping with Wendy and her family was.

-Summerween-

This really has no explanation, (Y/n) really wanted to go trick or treating, so she dressed up from a great character from one of her shows. Dipper actually wanted to go trick or treating, so he and Mabel still went as peanut butter and jelly. Mabel also invited Candy, who's dressed as a piece of candy, and Grenda... who dressed as a witch. There was no meet up with Summerween Trickster.. so it was a normal Summerween night.

-The Deep End-

At the community pool, as life guards there's Wendy and (Y/n).... who are just in it for the free snacks, then they also pelted Stan with water balloons. No reason, it was just fun watching him run- "wow, you work here?" Dipper asks the two girls. (Y/n) nods saying "I found out life guard gets free snack privileges" Wendy nods saying "so she told me. Now we got the best seats in the house!" (Y/n) nods saying "yeps!" Dipper smiles at (Y/n). "Yeah ya do!" Dipper says and starts nervously laughing, he also hasn't blinked for a bit... (Y/n) noticed that too.

"I've been laughing for too long" Dipper whispers to himself, so Wendy looks at (Y/n), (Y/n) tilted her head confused, that time she heard Dipper. Soos leans down to Dipper saying "dude, are you and (Y/n) having a secret staring contest? Cause I think you're winning." Dipper kept looking at (Y/n) as he says "Soos! Shhh!!" (Y/n) chuckled at Dipper's antics, but Wendy's smirking. (Y/n) noticed the smirk "what?" "Dipper's totally crushing on you!" Wendy says and playfully shoves (Y/n). The tween blushed and says "pshh, Dipper?? Naw, we're just best friends-" "he's staring at you as you're in a swim suit."

(Y/n) shrugs her shoulders saying "that's because I'm barely ever in a swim suit-" "and he wasn't blinking" "say what you want, Wendy. Dipper doesn't like me that way" "are you saying that because you like him??" Wendy asks while raising her eyebrow. (Y/n) blinked a few times in thought, then shrugs her shoulders "I honestly don't know if I have crushes." "Well, how do you-" "hey, wanna chuck more water balloons at Grunkle Stan, (Y/n)?" Dipper asks with a smile. Wendy smirks at (Y/n) again, but the tween shakes her head "Wendy, stop it, we still have a job to do."

Wendy forgot until (Y/n) said that, then she groaned and said "oh yeah, dude as much fun as that sounds, we gotta spend the day doing tryouts. We're looking for a new assistant life guard" once the words left Wendy's mouth, she smirks again. She looks at (Y/n), then at Dipper saying "you should totally be the assistant life guard, Dipper." Dipper says "yEaH!..." he cleared his throat and deepened it to repeat that small voice crack from happiness. "Yeah - you think I could?" Dipper asks while tilting his head, so (Y/n) smiles, not noticing Wendy's smirk.
