Chapter 20

-few week time skip-

After all this time I still feel scared to tell Mabel about what happened with... everything, but school started up again and Hiro is officially a nerd. Right now I'm on the bridge where Tadashi, Hiro and I were on that one night, I'm close to calling Mabel. Breathing in and out I try to think on what words I could use to describe the old situation. "Hey, Mabes... yeah, I know it's been a while... but there's something I need to tell you. It's really serious, so you need to calm down from your happy go-lucky self, okay?... I could've died."

I shake my head as I pace around in a small circle saying "no, that doesn't sound like a good thing-" my phone starts ringing. My eyes widen as I look at the caller i.d, but I see that it's just Hiro "what's up-" "(Y/n), you're not gonna believe this." "Are pigs finally flying thanks to my machine?!" I joke with him as I gasp and say "I knew I'd be the one to start the trend." Hiro groans and says "I'm serious!" "Okay, then what's-" "Hiro's microbot is moving on its own." "You realize this means that something could be happening with all of them.. right?" I ask out.

Hiro scoffs as Tadashi says "I told you!" "Nothing can be happening!! All of my microbots got destroyed in that fire. This thing is just broken-" "then why are you calling me?" I ask out confused on the point of the call. On the other side I hear a faint bell sound and a door close "Baymax?" Tadashi asks out. "Baymax was activated??" I ask confused "yeah, I dropped Megabot on my foot earlier." "I think Baymax went to investigate where the microbot was going!" Tadashi says worried.

My eyes widen as I say "well, follow him!! He could get into trouble!... but keep me updated after you find him, I have my own troubles." "You still haven't told Mabel?!" "No!! School and the burn scar are being a lot to handle right now." "Let's go!" Tadashi yells at Hiro, then I hear Hiro scream and the call disconnected, so I laugh softly. Then I think over telling Mabel, she would want to know what happened, plus... I have nothing else to do. Sighing I finally tap the call button on Mabel's number and hold my phone up to my ear patiently.

"OH MY GOSH, (Y/N)!!!" Mabel yells into my ear after one ring, I pull my phone away from my ear saying "oh my god, Mabel. You're still as loud as always... but your voice did deepen a bit-" "yours too!!" Mabel says happily. We laugh, but I say "Mabel, I kind of called because I thought you should know something." Mabel gasped and says "(Y/n)~ Did you get a boyfriend!?~" "WhAt?!" Dipper's voice cracks a bit. I blink a few times saying "uh, no.... but it's serious, and tell Dipper that he sounds ridiculous with the octave drop he went through."

Dipper scoffs and says "excuse me, but this is better than girly voice Dipper!" "Shush, she's trying to tell us something!" Mabel scolds Dipper. "Ow! Did you really have to punch my shoulder??" Dipper asks out, so I chuckle and say "yes. That's payback for the Pacifica thing, but you guys are making me stray off topic... just like old times." We all laugh, but I say "no, serious moment; you guys have to really be serious with this." "Got it" "yep!" Dipper and Mabel say, so I breathe in and out as I say "I got into an accident."

They started to talk over the other loudly, so I move my phone away from my ear and wait for their questioning to be done. When they got quiet I say "it was a few weeks ago, I'm perfectly fine... thankfully, but I did get hurt." "How are you fine if you got hurt?!" Dipper asks angered, so I roll my eyes and say "because it's just a burn. Well, burn scar... besides that I'm doing fine, and I might even have a new crush that's here in San Fransokyo." "What type of name even is San Fransokyo??" Dipper mumbles annoyed as Mabel fangirls.

Then she starts asking a lot of questions, so I laugh softly saying "his name's Hiro, he's the same age as us, and we go to the same college." "You mean highschool??" The twins ask in unison, so I say "no, I'm positive that I mean college. I'm smarter than I led on, you guys! I specialize in robotics! It's super fun, and I already made a cool invention." "What did you invent?!" Mabel asks happily, so I say "a hoverboard" "um, that's already been invented." "No der, Dipper! I made an actual hoverboard, it hovers over any hard surface" I say smartly.

It got quiet for a second- "hey, (Y/n)!!" Honey Lemon calls out, so I look and see her with the gang, except the brothers, as they walk my way. "Hey, Honey Lemon! I gotta go, guys - talk to you later!" I say and hang up the call and go to the group. Fred then says "what were you doing all alone??" "And don't you need to apply that ointment?" Wasabi asks and crossed his arms. Rolling my eyes I say "yeah yeah, ointment - bleh, but I was on a phone call that was private, and Hiro and Tadashi are... busy." Gogo then says "you mean your crush and his older brother?" I blush and shake my head.

"No, pretty sure I meant-" "awww, you're blushing!!" Honey Lemon gushes at me, so Wasabi says "looks like you.. have a crush." Fred then says "I feel like I should be in overprotective cousin mode... but I really can't. That is so adorable!!" Then he picks me up and hugs me as he spins me around in a circle. My eyes widen as I say "g-guys, I swear-" "she's stuttering" Wasabi says smugly, so I groan. "Maybe you should woman up and actually confess to Hiro" Gogo says to me as she crossed her arms.
