Chapter 12

-after dinner-

I stretch a bit as I put my dish in the sink asking "where am I gonna sleep??" Tadashi stretched saying "you can take my room if you want. I can take the couch" "Tadashi, I don't want you to sleep out here, I can take the couch." "No, it would be my pleasure, I have my reasons" Tadashi waves me off as he's smirking at Hiro. Hiro rolls his eyes and says "come on, let's just get to sleep" with that we walk up the stairs. "Thank you for the dinner, Aunt Cass!" I say and she smiles at me saying "I'm glad you liked it, (Y/n)."

With that I finally go into Tadashi's room and sit back down, looking over the math again as I have a pencil this time instead of a pen. Trying to think on math to add on to the coding "if I do this, then Healthcare would be able to bring out his syringe. But then I'll have to figure out how to put the bacitracin into him in case if he needs it." I groan out softly, getting a bit annoyed at how hard this is turning out to be right now. Next thing I know is there's a soft knock on the screen door, so I whisper out "come in."

The door opens, but I don't really pay attention to whoever it is as I'm still writing "I know I should be sleeping, but this so distracting. And-" they push my clipboard and paper down so I'd look up at them, so I see that it's Hiro. He chuckles softly and lifts his hand, motioning for me to stay quiet as he motions for me to follow him. I grab my bot and remote from my bag, then we're sneaking out so easily and start walking. Sighing in satisfaction I actually enjoy the night air "it feels so good out here" I answer out with a smile.

Hiro chuckles saying "welcome to my world, this is me almost every night" I tilt my head confused "why not every night?" I ask out. As we walked he says "Tadashi somehow manages to find me, that's why he said you should take his room. He would've been able to wake up easier" after walking a bit I feel like Tadashi has something up his sleeve. I kept looking down, trying to think, but see a pebble, so I grab it and keep it in my pocket. "What are you doing??" Hiro asks amused by my actions, so I roll my eyes softly saying "it wouldn't be this easy.. I got a plan."

That confused Hiro even more, so I say "switch me jackets" he was hesitant, but we switched jackets, and he says "we're here. Just down this-" "shh!" I whisper and quickly peer my head around the corner to see Tadashi by the only door. Nodding I whisper "he's there" Hiro groans softly, so I do look at the dumpster behind the older teen. Smirking I toss the pebble in my hand a bit and toss it up high in the air, trying to hit the dumpster without Tadashi knowing. That's when I hear something screech and Tadashi screamed softly, so my eyes widened.

"I missed my target-" "run!" Hiro whisper yells, so we start running as we hear Tadashi's scooter starting up, then we found ourselves at a park. Looking around I say "come on, he wouldn't come here-" "no, he will, I've tried hiding out here before." "Seriously?!" I ask annoyed as we get to a tree and start panting a bit since we're out of air. Tadashi's scooter is heard coming, so I start freaking out "what do we do? What do we do?!" I whisper ask out. Hiro looks behind me, then pulls my hood up along with his own, and gets close to me.

My eyes widen at his actions, but he whispers out "don't think about this" then he started to kiss me, my eyes widened even more. Hiro then starts to make kissing noises as Tadashi's scooter rides past us, so I look out of the corner of my eye. Tadashi rides past us, thinking we're just a random couple, so I push Hiro back as I blush a bit. "Uhhh-" "now let's go" Hiro says and pulls me back towards the alleyway where the bot fight is. In there are a bunch of people older than us, but we did the first fight we could and sat down.

Hiro wanted to see my bot in action, so I whisper asked "a lot of money, or just money?" He looks like he knew what I meant. Thinking about it he says "just money" I nod and grab out my remote and activate my robots. "I'm going up against a child?? Oh, this should be easy!" This skinny man says as he takes out his big robot. I roll my eyes and mumble "that's what you think" and we begun our fight and you could see a bit of sparks. Bot hitting bot was happening until he did what every single person does to my robot and cut it in half.

With that I easily start controlling both of them as they bring out their blades as they start to cut the dude's robot to pieces. I won the fight and got about 200 dollars.... it's about an average amount, I could've won more. Hiro laughs and shakes me happily saying "you did it!!" With that he wanted to fight someone. After they made a pretty big bet for this fight, Hiro was so determined to win and didn't do the long haul of hustling. Which meant that he won very quickly, and we won a lot of money!! I smile big.

"Okay, I'm pretty sure 800 dollars is enough for tonight, let's get back home" Hiro says and stands up, I do too and we carry our bots. Walking through the crowd of people we walk out of the place and back into the alleyway. From there we start walking back towards the shop/Hiro's home, but we didn't really talk. The walk there was a nice and silent walk, until we got to the back door and Hiro says "hey, nice bot." I nod saying "yours is pretty good too..." Hiro then says "here's your half" he holds out another 200 dollars.
